Common's One Day It'll All Make Sense book

I am an avid Common guy and I have appreciated his artistry as an emcee ever since the early 90s. Being from Chicago, this was one of the few guys who I really appreciated and I had my expectations high for his new memoir. Having said that, I have been enjoying his new memoir and it is just amazing about the type of artist and man Common is because he explores his past, his emotional journey, career highs and lows and how it has affected his music. I was shocked that Com was so underwhelmed about Electric Circus 9 years later, as he rarely even put emphasis on the creative process and lack of commercial success with the project. Common's upbringing wasn't all roses either, as the relationship with his father was flawed for a long time. Just a great memoir and I highly recommend to Com fans and hip-hop admirers. The man has so much love and admiration around him and he proves it in this book.

I actually bought the book yesterday and have already finished reading it. It was a very good book, easy to read, though I found it kind of crazy all the the silly things he did before "growing" into the man he is today. Guess you can't always judge a person on how they are now as the person they always once was. I loved reading about his journey and if given the chance, would love to meet him one day. nod

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
