Lady Gaga on Ellen about her tax return

Earlier this year Lady Gaga was on The Jonathan Ross Show in England. At one point Ross brought up music piracy and she said that when artists complain about album sales, she asks herself: "how much money do these artists really need?"

The other day she was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. I liked her performance of Marry The Night. At the end of her interview she mentioned the moment when she signed her tax return: "We were laughing, everybody was laughing cuz when I signed my tax return this year I had to get completely wasted".

Pretty funny and I don't think she really got wasted. But in the first interview she doesn't seem to have a big problem if successful artists make less money, in the second interview she thinks it's a big problem to pay a lot in taxes and make less money.

Not a big deal, but it seems like a contradiction and I'm more inclined to believe her in the second interview.

What's your take on this?
