Going for number one again? Cheater.

The charts are such a joke. Kate Perry, Gag Gag and Rhianna can have 100 number 1s between them and I can still manage to avoid that mess. And even if one of their paid-for-hits happens to be playing in some public place I could not tell you who it is, or what song it is BECAUSE that shit all sounds the same. Ok, so at first i didn't care at all about this, cuz again her beating MJ's record doesn't mean anything, but all this #1 pandering is really obnoxious and tired. 2012: The Queen Returns

This is sad lol. I recall not even two weeks ago they knocked the price down and now they're trying this remix strategy that they used for Last Friday Night to hit number 1. I think when she does come back with new material it won't be so well received because EMI continues to force her to get that 6th number 1.

She hit #4 today, entering Faith and Rhythm Nation territory as most singles in the top 5 singles off an album.
Plus lets be honest, this isn't Perry's doing, this is EMI's. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Once this is done hitting #1 Peacock needs to be the 7th so she could obliterate Rhythm Nation's 20 something whatever year old record.

Get as many number 1's as you want, the chick still can't sell albums worth a shit
Purple Rain had 2 number 1's= 13 Million Copies Born In The U.S.A 0 Number 1's= 17 Million Copies 21 2 number 1's= 5 Million copes Katy Perry 5 number 1's= barely 2 million
sad Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

What a cheater. And the fact she said she only released the song because she liked it bull shit!

Come on guys, let's be nice, after all there is a great possibility that Teenage Dream would be Katy's last big album. Let her enjoy this era. ~Time Spent Learning is a Time Never Wasted~

I love 'Hummingbird Heartbeat'. As much as I'd like to see it be a single, I really don't want anymore singles from this album...a little overkill even though it's a very good pop album IMO. I just think that Katy is absolutely adorable. Prince Rogers Nelson

Wasn't it confirmed that she didn't have 5 consecutive # 1 hits? Not that it really matters tho..

Um no. But she had two singles to chart after "California Gurls" that weren't #1. Unless those weren't official singles. edit: and if she reached seven, she would tie Whitney Houston's record for most consecutive #1s. [Edited 12/18/11 1:10am]
