I believe the CW or MyTV aired the old Fat Albert Christmas Special a year or two ago. But I haven't seen a regular episode on TV since the 80's.

^^Get It Up again. They've shown that episode at least 8 times. Bounce needs some new episodes, and not those post 1985 ones either.

What was up with that weird edit at the beginning of James Wesley Jackson's comedy routine? Did they cut out a joke? The camera slowly zoomed in on him while he was telling a joke, then suddenly same camera shot turned into a wideshot again.

Yeah, but it was played on WGN a few years ago and during that time, the local non-cable channels were still carrying "Soul Train" so it got played then also. Then it was played a few times on Centric and now it's about the fifth time they've showed it on Bounce. Even if my DVD recorder still worked, the way they've been showing repeats, I'd still record with VHS tapes because you can't record over those duplicates once they're on DVDs. lol

WGN is in chicago... so your point is not valid. Everyone doesnt have CENTRIC nor BOUNCE so stop being a debbie downer.

Read the very next sentence after that which says "the local non-cable channels were still carrying Soul Train so it got played then also". In my area during the same time WGN (a Chicago cable channel) was playing it at 1 p.m. and WJTV (our local CBS channel) was playing it at 11:30 p.m. There was also a Soul Train thread right here on the org during that time and lots of people in the threads didn't have cable but they said it was played on one of their local channels, usually a local CW Channel and usually late at night.

There's just no excuse for them to keep repeating episodes over and over when there are 30 years of weekly episodes to choose from. It's not like there weren't many episodes filmed.

All Soul Train episodes are licensed so you dont know which episodes are licensed to Bounce and the fees involved along with airing them, along with the $$$ for the music in the shows too.

I'm still of the opinion that Soul Train should have their own channel and host all of its episodes in chronological order.

Actually, on a lot of the episodes that Bounce has been airing, they've been airing them completely uncut. For instance, at the Scramble Board, on a lot of the episodes, you actually see pictures of the prizes they win such as the year's subscription to Jet and Ebony magazine, the Pro-line hair products, and the portable radio with the one speaker and the cassette player. I even saw one with a portable 8 Track player. lol WGN used to cut that part out and go straight to them moving the letters on the board. And Centric was the world's worst at chopping up the episodes. They used to cut part of the intro and then go to a commercial right after the first performance and do the interview when the commercials ended. Bounce has been pretty good at airing them in their entirety.
