One of their best songs! This is from 1979,a time when they were just on the verge of major success..."the calm before the storm",if you will

This is what Bounce should be showing. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

On the way home y'all, gotta listen to Gus fuss.
Thank you for this. A great way to wake up on a cold Saturday morning.

You ain't lying! I actually sat through one of those 1990s episodes this morning out of curiosity and I shouldn't have done it. All it did was bring back bad memories, piss me off, and put me in a bad mood. Andy is a four letter word.

Why do they call him Uncle Charlie? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

So the sellout Uncle Charlie of today doesn't get confused with the funky Charlie Wilson from The Gap Band. Just like Ronald Isley's sellout persona "Mr. Big". There always needs to be things to keep them separate like there's hip hop and there's shit hop, there's soul and there's neo stool. The bullshit of today never needs to be considered in the same category as the good stuff from the past. . . . [Edited 12/10/11 10:43am] Andy is a four letter word.
