Sinéad O' Connor marries

Sinéad O' Connor has got married in Las Vegas.

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer tied the knot yesterday, on her 45th birthday.

The star wed Barry Herridge in the back of a pink Cadillac in a drive-thru ceremony.

"She wanted to do the whole thing in a Cadillac. That was her thing," a source told People.

Sinéad wore a low cut pink dress that showed off her large tattoos. She arrived at the venue at around 7pm to fill out the paperwork before saying 'I do'.

"It wasn't a traditional dress, but it wasn't a traditional wedding either," says the source. "She cried during the vows and had to wipe her eyes.

Barry wore a dark suit and pink shirt for the occasion.

After the short ceremony the couple lit candles in the reception while the staff at A Little White Wedding Chapel sang Happy Birthday to the bride.

This is the singer's fourth marriage.

Her divorce from her third husband Steve Cooney was finalised in April of this year.

She has also been married to John Reynolds and Nicholas Sommerlad and has four children.

Sinéad met Barry after she revealed she was looking for a potential suitor in August.

She wrote about how determined she was to find a man on her blog. Her post caused controversy, as she admitted she was 'desperate for sex.I am in the peak of my sexual prime and way too lovely to be living like a nun, and it's very depressing.'

Barry contacted the 45-year-old shortly after reading her blog via email and the pair quickly fell in love.

She looks very happy, bless her...always did have a nice smile. I'm HAPPY for her.

She's still pretty to me. Extra weight, older age and all. Always had a lovely face.

Too bad she's crazier than a bat out of hell! But she has had a very tough childhood/life from what i've heard, so that could explain some of her behavior.

Either way, I like Sinead and I wish her the best! I hope this works out for her.

All the brilliant people worth loving are crazy, anyhow. Plus from what I understand she usually remains friends with her ex-husbands, so my bet is she's not as crazy as a lot of narrow-minded squares make her out to be. And anyhow, Prince has been divorced twice and had one cut off engagement, so damn, people, chill the fuck out. Just because a woman doesn't fit within the extremely narrow confines of what some of you deem attractive doesn't mean you need to attack her and call her trash. Get a life and an open mind already.

I totally agree! A bald head really suits her. I think her along with Kanye's ex Amber Rose are two of very few women that can get away with that style, as longer hair actually takes away from their beauty. I don't know about her marriage though. I give it 6 months max!
