Tons of cool artists from the 60s.
Too many for me to cover completely, but here are a few that I enjoyed.

Rhinoceros...

...When You Say You're Sorry & You're My Girl (I Don't Want To Discuss It)

Spirit...

...Mechanical World & Taurus (Ripped by Zeppelin)

Moby Grape...

...Mr. Blues & Naked If I Want To

I think the difference that made The Beatles stand out was the presence of Sir George Martin.
With his serious musical background, he could take their raw talent and mold classier end results over the course of their career.

I like "I Can't Explain" as well.

Another great, albeit derivative song from the Nuggets box set:

The Knickerbockers - "Lies"

The Leaves...

...Hey Joe

This was the arrangement every band copied until Jimi Hendrix recorded his version which was inspired by the way he heard Tim Rose perform it.

This garage band was practically the pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal.

And thsi granage band from Cleveland had a huge hit with this song.
