Goldfrapp release new single, Greatest Hits due out in February

goldfrapp the singles dps Goldfrapp to Release Greatest Hits Album in February, New Single Yellow Halo

Press release:

The Singles, is the first compilation from the band, taking in the cinematic electronica of their Mercury shortlisted debut album Felt Mountain, through the electro glam of Black Cherry, the Grammy nominated, half-million selling dance pop of Supernature, the Pagan, electro-folk of Seventh Tree and last year’s, top 10 album, the hands-in-the-air, retro-futuristic Head First.

And here is the first new single

I'll get it because Goldfrapp makes my skin tingle unlike anyone else, but I'll keep listening to my own singles comp tracklist instead of theirs.

I hope there is a special edition with the videos or something. Great collection of tracks from an amazing duo. Hope they return with a new studio album soon, can't wait to see them live again.

Yes, my friend is a big fan of theirs, it was Supernature that made her really take notice of them. I still listened to the albums post Black Cherry, but I never bought them. Those first two albums are near perfect imo.

However, we did go and see them live around Supernature and a good time was had by all. They put on a nifty wee show.

Funny that, I quite like Seventh Tree. It seems (at least to my ears) to be closer (in some ways) to Felt Mountain than any other of their albums.

It is indeed closer to Felt Mountian than any of their other albums, but oddly enough, Felt Mountain is their album I like the least and Seventh Tree is their album I like the most. shrug
