Very tough choice to narrow especially now, be goint through all Queens stuff on crazy pace lately, with the new 40th anniversary book, releases, and also the "Days of Our live" dvd documentary

So just grabbing each album and taking tracks i would go with

"Liar"

"Prophets Song"

"stone cold crazy"

"Death on Two Legs"

"You take my breath away"

"spread your wings"

"jealousy"

"all dead all dead"

"radio gaga"

"Princes of the Universe"

"Rock it (prime jive)

"need your loving tonight"

"Was it all worth it"

"show must go on"

"Mustapha"

"Love of my life"

"Is this the world we created"

"Friends will be Friends"

"Your my best friend"

"Innuendo"

"Mother Love"

"winters tale"

"Bijou"

"the miracle"

"In the lap of gods"

Trying to stay from the "hits" because thats a given, but this is the less known work and anything after Radio Gaga in america is pretty much "unheard" in this country since they were banished after the "i want to break free" video.

Great track, its so tough to narrow Queen down, with such a catalog of great varied stuff, sometimes it just a mood thing, sometimes i wanna hear this and other times i wanna hear that. Its funny because some 70's QUeen fans, feel they were crap in the 80's, to me they were one of the best bands in the 80's for turning out music, and till the end with Freddie QUeen were a magical force

Queen continued to have good music after the '70s so I don't get that logic. They must didn't like the fact that Queen put new wave, R&B and other forms of pop music into their music but Queen was diverse from the beginning so I don't get how their music got worst. It wasn't like they reform into some psuedo conservative elder statesman like Elton John or something...

Love Queen but I still find most of their albums quite weak. So apart from the usual hits (and they had many in the UK) I particually like "Gimme the prize", "Princes of the universe" and "don't lose your head".

There are way too many to list. I'm a huge Queen fan and there are not many of their songs that I don't like. I will say that I absolutely love the following:

These are the days of our lives

Who wants to live forever

You're my best friend

Killer Queen

Kind of magic

I want to break free

I was born to love you

on and on and on...............

Miles

I like most of Queen's albums (tho they got a bit thin from sorta round Jazz up to A Kind of Magic imo, singles and odd album tracks aside. I think they may have got a little too decadant at that point, if that's possible).

I generally favour early Queen and late Queen - must give shout outs to the incredible Ogre Battle (probably the heaviest track they ever did), Brighton Rock (Brian's tour de force, his Voodoo Chile (Slight Return), in fact the whole Sheer Heart Attack album is probably their best to me.

But then I also love The Miracle and Innuendo, esp the title tracks, I Want It All, Was It All Worth It, Slightly Mad and Days of Our Lives, and the exquisite, underrated ballad Don't Try So Hard and really like the Made in Heaven album too, esp Made in Heaven (they so completed Freddie's solo version), A Winter's Tale and You Don't Fool Me (this one is actually a bunch of Freddie vocal sections he laid down in his final recording sessions, assembled into a finished 'song' by producer David Richards).

God Save the Queen!

Was belting out Freddie's Barcelona while playing it in the car earlier. Glorious, exultant campery, mi dears biggrin .
