I LOVE Miracle. I'm Your Baby Tonite is a very underrated album imo.
Pretty sure "Miracle" was the last song added. Whilst the 2 japanese bonus tracks (which I love), sound like they were recorded earlier on in the project as they are alot poppier.
I thought the album needed more pop tracks, but I know they wanted it more "urban". |

THIS is why Whitney is the greatest vocalist of all time. Not Aretha, Gladys, Patti, Chaka, Mariah, Celine NOT NOBODY could deliver a vocal like this! This song is made me fall in love with Whitney. She is the "The Voice" often imitated but never duplicated! Beyonce wishes she could sing half as good as this.
Ashanti sang this song earlier this year, that bitch needed her ass kicked!
She did? You got a youtube link? I need a good laugh I have a headache. |

LMAO! I just want to say I'm sick and tired of everyone singing this in talent shows to show their 'vocal ability.' Please just get new material.
There's a lot of great Whitney songs they can choose from too... it is getting redundant. She did more than "I Will Always Love You", "Saving All My Love", "How Will I Know", "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and "Greatest Love of All". But these are usually the songs they go for and sometimes it's mainly just "I Will Always Love You". It's like people going to talent shows to sing "Respect" or "Ain't No Way" when you know Aretha had more songs.
Oh, she has the perfect type of songs for people in those boring ass talent shows to use. Before her, they were using "You Light Up My Life" all the time. I hated those tired ass talent shows at school and nevermind "American Idol", hell, I hated "Star Search" years before it. Andy is a four letter word. |

I will never forget when this song was out. My sister was pregnant and we were sitting home one morning and she went into labor. I was driving her to the hospital and she was in the car having labor pains. This song came on the radio and she said...."Oh Lord, turn that fucking shit off".... I laughed and I turned it up loud right when that part where she goes...."And IIIIIIIIIIIII will always...".......Then my sister started yelling...."Bastard, turn that fucking shit off! Not only do I hate that damn song but I hate that fucking bitch too!".
I only came here because I knew you were going to have something hilarious to say about ole Nippy.

I do not like this song much, because the song really is omnipresent, it's tiring, but the vocals in it just phenomenal, stunning. One of the best vocal performances ever. It is a pity that Whitney has lost much of her vocal abilities.
Yes, it was an excellent vocal performance. It's sad to hear her croak her way thru the song today.

this was her defining moment, she should have went to the next level after this instead of trying to be down with the homeboys and do regular RnB |

I see a lot of hate in this thread. Just because this song was super popular and you couldnt escape it when it was around late 92/early 93, and yes it was overplayed due to its massive global success.... doesn't mean its a bad song by any means.
One of the great vocal performane in the history of music. Like it or not. Whitney changed the game with this one here. |

Having done that, I do love the song and she sang it well at the Grammys, but it's not something I ever played on repeat....and the first time I heard it was on Full House when Steve kissed his ex and DJ got jealous, so that's what I associate the song with though I knew about the Bodyguard too. |

You're right about it not being a bad song because it was very popular and overplayed. It's a bad song because she's the one that recorded it. But you're wrong about her changing the game with it. She had already changed the game years earlier in 1985....for the worst. Andy is a four letter word. |

It had it's highest ratings around that time, yes. Lasted from 87' to 95', it was cancelled thanks to Uncle Jesse. |

1.My Heart Will Go On
2.I Will Always Love You

Hollywood is such a pain sometimes, lol
A part of me still hasn't forgiven Celine Dion nor R. Kelly for #1 and #3... Whit redeemed herself with the other Bodyguard tracks so I wasn't that upset. R. Kelly's "Gotham City"? Is it still being played? I haven't heard that track since it first out...LOL. Yeah, it was for the worst Batman film, even though I like it...I'm just a major fan of anything Batman... hahaha! But yeah, Whitney is one of the best vocalists ever. Though I do agree with Andy that when she 1st came out, mainstream black music started to become totally watered down & some of her music was the tipping point, she is a real person who's been through enough sh**. So you know, we're all humans even though the powers that be try to turn us into living & breathing androids... |

The song itself is beautiful, but I've heard it so much over the years that if I hear it one more time from ANY singer my ears will bleed! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato
