I lump these two eras together as well as neither of them do anything for me and on the surface it does seem like one big era. I prefer classic 80's Madonna and Ray Of light/Music sounding Madonna. I do love the crazy image she had going on here though and it was probably the best shes ever been lyrically. I just wish the music and songs stood up for me.
