Yeah and then gonna act like that didn't affect her later on. You know she's still bitter lol

Jill is becoming the female Kanye with her attitude, but i think she's worse. I used to be subscribed to her... but all she does it whine. She needs to grow up and get over it lol

lol now you know when someone don't care for a Grammy nod (Erykah anyone?). She never bitched about that at least. lol

Jill's attitude sucks. Is she forgetting that her peers are responsible for the nominations? WTF does her cover of Billboard, #1 album have to do with anything? Nothing. Her peers didn't vote for her because they probably think she's a cunt. Let's face it...nobody is going to vote for someone they don't like personally even if the CD deserved a nod (and it did!). I hate her use of the oral "we" in her tweet too. Good lord.

I forgot that musicians are part of that committee! Much like the Hall of Fame so yeah it's possible she pissed some folks off.

"Hate On Me" singer Jill Scott, who copped a Soul Train Award for Best Female R&B and Soul Artist last month, has some ish to say about the 2011 Grammy nominations that were just revealed last night. Mainly about the fact that neither she nor her homie Miguel got one.

She tweeted just hours ago:

0 nominations. I'm speechless. Cover of Billboard, #1 cd in the country, tied/broke the record for Urban radio. Ok...so...ok. Wow.....

I don't need a Grammy. I deserve it & I'm clear on that. The Light of the Sun was/is magical . We were lifted & filled w/ truth. I ❤ it.

No Miguel?!?!? Huh!!!? Again appalled.

excuse me?!?!? No "Love on Top"? This can't be right...

After responding to uplifting messages from her fans, she said she's keeping it moving, and happy for her friends who did grab nods:

My head is up. My son is healthy, my family is loving & so are my fans. God is real. Disappointments too still I come thru like a Kung foo.

Thank you all for ur kind words of encouragement. It's fine. I had a moment of wtf...

At least my girls were nominated. Congrats Ledisi and Marsha

That Light of the Sun album did go hard though...

Why is it that the people who bitch the loudest about not needing an award are always the one's who complain the loudest about not getting nominated? Sheesh....homegirl need to get over it.

Truth...Miguel should have been nominated for best new artist cuz he came outta nowhere with those hot joints. I think I hear his songs and see his video every single day.

Jill needs to count her blessings. Brian McKnight is like 0 for 17 on grammy night.

She needs to count her calories too.

I'm really shocked at Beyonce's low tally, I thought 4 is the type of album the grammys would adore.

My thoughts exactly. But I guess people truly wasn't feeling it at the committee. I mean I would think she'd get at least R&B nods so imagine my shock when she was only nominated for Best Rap/Sung collabo. It shouldn't surprise me that much because that's mainly the nods she get. That and Best R&B Song and, before they made it gender-neutral, Best Female R&B. But the Grammy changes have definitely made it real difficult for her that the only nod she got was on a rap/sung collaboration. If such a nod had been deleted from the Grammys, she would've been snubbed totally.

But I guess this time around the attention is more on Beyonce's personal life and the fact that she didn't have Mathew by her side definitely changes things.

nod

Someone please clue her in that spot on billboard charts or a billboard cover does not make one eligible or worthy of a grammy award.

Whitney's I Look to You went plaitnum, was #1 on Billboard 200 and r&b chrts, 2 #1 urban singles, #1 dance track. Mariah can say similar things about E=M2 and no nods for either so Jill build a bridge and get over it.

Classless!

Yeah if #1s and mag covers translated into Grammys than Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Rihanna would be drowning in them.
