I "shared" this link on Facebook last night via NPR. I listened to it twice. So lovely. It's been getting mixed responses on the FB link. One guy said he was afraid to listen to it because he hasn't liked the last 5 Kate Bush albums...I was like "are you even a fan????" My comments are under Joey Minutolo.

Here's NPR's 50-word review on 50 Words:

Powdery fantasia. Contemplative. Winter matins. Playful. Opium reverie. Grounded. Ghost story. Sensual. Artistic recalibration. Unhurried. Drummer's holiday. Quiet. Ode to the white keys. Imaginative. Exploration of the lower register. Floating. Mother-son duet. Solitary. Snowed-in erotica. Collaborative. Joni Mitchell answer record. Inimitable. Supernatural space odyssey. What we'd expect from Kate Bush.

From Kate Bush's official site:

"We will be streaming a new track from the album 50 Words For Snow on KateBush.com every night from now until release date on 21st November 2011.
All you need to do is visit KateBush.com between 19:30 and 21:00 GMT (UK Time) and enjoy the daily stream.
We have something slightly different planned for Thursday, so pleased stay tuned to our News section, Facebook page and Twitter profile for further announcements.

Lots of love,
Mrs. I. C. Plaice"

Last night they streamed "Snowflake" and so by Thursday the tracklisting dictates that it will be "Wild Man"...thinking they may show the video as the special treat? wink

p.s. Bless Kate- Mrs. I. C. Plaice lol

From http://www.katebushnews.com/

On her official website Kate has announced the release of further promotional material for the new album:

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that we are currently working on some short visual pieces to go with segments from 3 of the songs on 50 Words For Snow. Each piece will run for about two and a half minutes. We are having great fun creating them and they will be staggered in their release.

In our TV ad you will see clips from two of these pieces and images from the album booklet. The voice is that of the wonderful Mr Stephen Fry.

We hope that you like the look of these visuals and that they serve as a preview of what is to come as well as letting people know that the album release is imminent.

Very best wishes,
Kate

Hurry over to Kate’s official site to see the animations and the TV ad!

Can't wait! I NEVER preview her albums. I just buy 'em, bring 'em home and spend quiet time befriending them with wonderment. That's what I've done with "The Sensual World," "The Red Shoes" and with "Aerial." When Kate Bush releases a new album, it's a sacred holiday for me and that holiday is only five days away! smile

Well, I can tell you that you won't be disappointed with this album. Kate takes you to a winterland netherworld with this one...and you will listen to it more than once. wink
