You know how my girl does!

The upsets:

Kanye's game changing album doesn't get an album of the year nod

Grammy Darling Beyonce gets fewest nods yet for her best album

Gaga gets snubbed for record of the year in favor of Katy Perry, ignored in dance category

Rihanna gets an album of the year nod

Every nom in the Rock category is just plain sad

  • Wonder how Kanye's gonna react to that Album of the Year snub? I have the strangest feeling that he's not gonna be present at the ceremony though.
  • Jill Scott snubbed? eek sad

The rest...it is what it is...disbelief

Damn Kanye got snubbed for Album of the Year for the first time in his career, I think. Unless 808s and Heartbreaks also didn't get one...

As for Adele:

This is actually the second time since 808s & Heartbreak. SHOCKING! eek But it is what it is. The Grammys have no real credibility anyway.

I can't believe Jill Scott got no nominations...eek

Yes they have. And Marsha has one lone nomination in that category I believe. But Jill has none. smile

But you know what was the most shocking was NOT Rihanna getting Album of the Year (it's a youth thing they're doing...), NOT that Kanye was snubbed from Album of the Year, NOT that Jill Scott didn't get a nod or Marsha didn't get a Best New Artist nod (Bon Iver has been out for YEARS) and Best R&B Album nod, but the fact that our favorite Grammy girl, Miss Beyonce, only got...

ONE NOD! falloff For some reason I think Kanye will beat her on that category. lol

I'm really shocked at Beyonce's low tally, I thought 4 is the type of album the grammys would adore.

My thoughts exactly. But I guess people truly wasn't feeling it at the committee. I mean I would think she'd get at least R&B nods so imagine my shock when she was only nominated for Best Rap/Sung collabo. It shouldn't surprise me that much because that's mainly the nods she get. That and Best R&B Song and, before they made it gender-neutral, Best Female R&B. But the Grammy changes have definitely made it real difficult for her that the only nod she got was on a rap/sung collaboration. If such a nod had been deleted from the Grammys, she would've been snubbed totally.

But I guess this time around the attention is more on Beyonce's personal life and the fact that she didn't have Mathew by her side definitely changes things.
