Dr. Conrad Murray Sentenced Today We should know within the next couple of hours now much the judge throws at him. I expect the full four years though that will all be quickly reduced. He may serve 2 months in county before house arrest.
The judge is also going to stipulate a huge fine to be paid to the jackson kids, which I think is BS cause that leaves Murray no other option than to sell his story all over the place.

Is it possible that Murray could be forbidden to earn any money by using Michael's name? Is it possible by law? "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

are they serious in asking murray to pay restitution of a 100 million and for funeral costs? REALLY? SERIOUSLY? man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

They'll probably pursue AEG for that after Conrad's sentencing today. Wait a minute, doesn't the family already have a lawsuit pending against AEG?

So no surprised the judge gave him 4 years, but now it goes through the system. No mention as of yet bout the fine. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Well, things wrapped up just as most of us thought. Conrad got the max sentence. It was an open and shut case. Conrad's job was basically just to be responsible babysitter for MJ and he blew it BIG time. Not only giving the baby candy, cigarettes and beer, but killing the person he was charged with. He was AMAZING!!! "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

You could tell from what Judge Pastor was saying, if he could have done more he would have. He went as far as he could, which is what I expected. I would have been shocked if Conrad would have gotten anything less.
It was kind of weird hearing the judge raise the same concerns many of us here did in his consideration of his sentencing. Some things were just indefensible. [Edited 11/29/11 10:11am]

EVERYTHING the Judge said was on-point. I listened to every word he said and it needed to be said. Dr. Murray just sat there not giving a Damn about anything but all the Whores he won't be able to Fuck around with when they lock him up...
I wish he would've gotten sentenced to State Prison..He'll probably serve 1yr in jail if that...

Wasnt he a great judge? Just awesome

dag, some people just don't want to hear the truth. if the judge was saying what they agreed with, they wouldn't be hoping he would 'shut up'.

Is Murray still on "suicide watch"? [Edited 11/29/11 11:15am] "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

if that's the case then go after AEG instead of murray cause i understand the reason for damages but let's be real, the jackson estate could have affored the funeral cost it's not like mj was a middle class citizen man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Told ya'll he was gonna get and do those four years! Believe me they have let some child molester go just to make room for Conrad lol

the parents do have a lawsuit against aeg, but i don't think its going anywhere. he wasn't their employee so the legal doctrine of respondeat superior doesn't apply here. the jacksons have been floating this theory from day one, and it won't fly.
under the law, if you cause someone's death, you can and should be held liable, period. it's not about whether someone could have afforded anything. it's about holding the person who caused the damage responsible, period. whether mj's estate had the money to pay for his funeral is irrelevant.

Stars React to Conrad Murray SentencingConrad Murray was just sentenced to four years behind bars for his role in the death of Michael Jackson.

^ guess all the celebs think he got off easy.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Has it? He killed a man recklessly and got just four lousy years.

Conrad, definitely got off easy for his negligent medical care of someone under his personal care, and the life of an individual can never be based on time in jail. Wherever MJ is I doubt he has any animosity towards Mr. Murray. It was a cat and mouse game between a troubled soul and his caretakers.
MJ was headed in the wrong direction already. He needed someone to help him. Murray was obviously not it. His own family tried interventions and he was able to deflect them. There is no easy black and white in this situation. It was a terrible situation before Mr. Murray came in the picture. A lot of factors came together in a deadly combination that was measured in greed, ego and bad judgement by all involved. Including the concert promoters.

Now that's not really the point, isn't it?? Besides, it's not the family asking for 100 mil, it's the DA asking for the family to get rewarded that amount.
I think that's just symbolic anyway. There is no way he can pay that... he probably will already have a problem paying 50k.
I'm glad he got sentenced for 4 years though... but at the end of the day... it won't change a thing, it won't bring Michael back and people are asses... they believe what they want to believe... regardless of facts, verdicts and sentences.

Well, anyone in their right mind, including the judge could see Murray was negligent. It's a shame that his own mother apologized to the Jackson family via letter on his behalf.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
^^Well, at least the mother did... but then again, playing the devil's advocate, if you feel you've done nothing wrong (or are too arrogant or sociopathic to see you've done wrong), it's hard to apologize.

The Jacksons dont need his restitution.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Again! Not the point! I might not agree with the amount he should pay, but he should pay. He caused the death of a person.

That Judge said everything I was thinking and feeling. Dr. Murray mourned for Michael about 5-minutes after he realized he was dead then went into "cover-up" over-drive. His fear is understandable but his constant lies and finger-pointing just dug him in deeper and deeper. Had he shown an OUNCE of remorse I would feel a little bit different about him but he never gave a Damn about anything...I don't feel sorry for him at all and no one should. He had that Nasty-ass look on his face in the court room and could care-less about the restitution trial and didn't hesitate to say he didn't want to be there. I hope the judge orders him to pay the Jackson estate everything that he has left that is worth selling...
Let this be a lesson to ALL the private "Doctors to the Stars" if you allow Greed to cloud your better judgement you might lose your freedom.
