The Network - Aka Green Day?

I just heard of a secret side project called The Network as I was watching the Biography channel late last night. Apparently the album which came out in 2003 is a new wave/punk album that sounds like a combo of Devo and Greenday and there was even rumours that Devo members were in the band. Neither band has ever confirmed they were in it. Anyone have this album? It sounds intersting. Is it worth checking out? Sounds like a really departure for Green Day which is cool.

I'm not sure if anyone from Devo is involved, but The Network is actually Green Day under a different name with a different sound.

Green Day has another side project/fake band name called Foxboro Hot Tubs, but the Hot Tubs sound is more early 60s garage rock style than the Network's 80s new wave.

Did you have the album by The Network. Is it any good? I get the impression their side projects are actually better than Green day!

I don't have it, but I've heard parts of it and Green Day fans liked it when it came out. Even if you're not a Green Day fan, but like 80s new wave, you might like it.
