Talent has is not the ONLY bases on determining what makes an artist overrated or overexposed especially when its marginal AND ESPECIALLY when their are OTHER better artists.

Going by some of these logics... someone who has a good reputation that is a fairly descent vocalist deserves to be called the next Michael Jackson.. deserves to have 50 grammys.. deserves to be given awards for crappy music, deserves to be called a innovator when all they do is copies

Because her music sucks, she's a swag-jacker (lol). She's stolen countless dance moves and ideas and puts her name on it. She has done nothing musically significant yet for some reason everybody think she's such a great 'artist.' I wouldn't have a problem with her if she hadn't performed with Prince on that awards show that year. Although, Prince himself needs his ass beat for peforming with one of these tired ass current "artists". Hell, I knew very little about her before then. Well, this thread was posted in the music forum so that's why we seem to be sticking to people in the music business. But, if this thread was called "The Most Over-Exposed Assholes in The Entertainment Industry", then, yes, I'd rate The Kardashians way above Beyonce as far as being over-exposed for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

No it wasn't. She didn't even have to perform. Even if she had just stood there quietly, just her mere presence on the same stage with him made me taste vomit coming up my throat.

I'll put it this way, I'd rather see him on the same stage with Shitney Houston than one of these current mainstream artists. As dull and tired as she has always been from day one, at least she's washed up now and no longer a threat. A current successful artist in this day and age of the worst music is music history is always a threat because the older artist they perform with might possibly start recording the same type of music they do. Yes, my only argument - good voice, because pop music is the last 10-15 years just miserable. Compare Beyonce and Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, etc. - ridiculous, it's a completely different artistic levels, so I compare her with the successful artists of her generation.

Oh, yeah! I don't hate many musical artists but then I don't consider Bieber one. I have nothing against him personally but it is what he represents that I hate--the degradation of musical standards that has been going on for years. Unfortunately, he is the easiest target. But, what made me especially hate his current pop status today was when I was handed the lamest flyer yet for Christian propaganda on a college campus featuring--you got it!--Justin Bieber! Entitled "Leave It To Bieber," it features drawings of Bieber and discusses his hair, seeking out fame and fortune, and youtube status as an underdog who rose to fame, which gives the rest of us "underdogs" hope that we might achieve the same. And then it abrubtly segues into a description of what might happen with the "greatest underdog ever"--Jesus Christ. I am not taking anything away from people who really have faith and believe, but I have always despised this kind of propoganda--and this is--hands down!, the worst example of this I have ever seen in all the decades of seeing this kind of crap.
