Initially, I disliked them both (not hate, but did not understand the noise, to be honest)
But that was when I knew only 3-4 songs from each of them.

Then about a year ago I heard for the first time Give in to me and Dirty Diana and I thought ... WOW .... he's really charismatic and talented, then I bought the King of pop, I liked almost everything, so I took all (or almost all) of his songs and I love more than 70% of the material.

Because I became interested in Michael, I decided to thoroughly and fully listen to the songs of his sister, so I bought her Number ones. I like many songs of melodies and arrangements, but I prefer to listen to them without vocals (minus one), because her voice is extremely tedious and weak and makes me nervous to be honest ... .

If I like MJ (Incidentally, as an artist, not the person), it means that I must respect his family, no matter how tedious and untalented they are? I just do not think so ....

And your last argument makes no sense, because Janet has a much lower star status than her brother in the world. She is no rival for him. The excitement would make sense if Prince was the brother of MJ (because Prince is at least no less talented and could overshadow him in this respect), or if Madonna was his sister (she has a similar level of fame), but Janet .... .. oh, come on....

I think some MJ fans are threatened by her success compared to Michael. For the most part she has always defended MJ. I was however disappointed with her comments after his death because she was not accurate ( I was really angry abot that) and MJ fans have always been insane and most irrational

That Rhythm Nation aka *insert whatever Latoya album that was in the title* turned into a MJ/Janet thread with him and others insulting Michael so I've seen both sides. And I've visited a Janet forum or 2 back in the day, they can get rude about Michael too

It was the military-esque dance formation and fashion. Anybody's who has seen both videos or ANY of Michael and Janet's videos can obviously see they borrow ideas from each other like I mentioned in a previous post.

He said she asked him if she could "steal" the military dance style but we know that ain't what Janet meant

Just want to say that there are just as many, IF NOT MORE, batshit insane Janet, Prince, Madonna etc. Btw, I agree with what you said about Michael being supportive of Janet. He was ALWAYS proud and supportive. In fact, it has been said that he played her music for his children all the time. The thing that upsets me the most is that I KNOW that he would have ever said/implied the things that she did about him after his death, if it had been the other way around. He was too classy for that. He would have cut off his right arm before he would do that. It was cowardly and unloyal for her to do that and I personally will never forgive her because there was absolutely NO REASON for her to say what she did.
