^^It would be nice if the full versions of the performances that were edited (or left off) for the movie were released on DVD. I'm aware of that. I have the Wattstax DVD. It has the uncut performance of Albert King's song and Isaac's song as bonus features. The audio commentary on the disc says that the whole all day concert was filmed, including separate footage of The Emotions in a church and Johnnie Taylor in a club. Johnnie's concert was released on a live CD not too long ago uncut. His songs on the Wattstax soundtracks were edited too. You can hear Johnnie at one point telling the camera men they're in his way.
It's not Stax, but I'd like to see the 1973 Save The Children concert and the 1969 Harlem Festival released too.
