Jessie J...Yes Please!

I think the topic title says enough but just in case you've missed this amazing woman's outstanding vocal abilities, here u are: cool

Some covers...the girl can pull off a Whitney Houston track; not an easy feat by any means

^^lol..okies that's ur opinion. I think she has a pretty great vocal range which is why I put a bunch of acoustic songs as opposed to pre-recorded tracks but c'est la vie. As the old saying goes, 'Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.' lol

Personally, I'm still trying to see what's soo amazing about Lady Gaga's vocals...great performer but her voice to me isn't really what it's soo hyped up to be by soo many but that just goes back to that above old saying so shrug ...just my twocents

You can hang it up with ANY sort of love for this girl...it's been several post about her usually with VERY dismal reactions.

I have posted on her earlier this year because when I was received a clip of her in the NY subway I was absolutely blown away!

This IMO is a bad bitchand I have stated before the acoustic is WAAAAY better than the studio release. Her new song Domino is so Katy Perry and I hope that she doesn't go that route. Her voice can handle way better material. I understand the need to get the crossover bubblegum BS to sell the album...and I'm not afraid to say I like some bubblegum, but I don't want that sugar on EVERY song.

My absolute favorite song isWHO U R with a close second being Casualty of Love. Nobody's Perfect when performed carries so much emotion it absolutely gives you chills. I have hooked about 10 other friends first by showing them these live clips and then they went out and purchased the album. oh and BTW we are all in our 40's..so there:-P

ALSO her style of dress is crazy, she wears extremely high clunky shoes with those body suits...I fucking love it. I believe if i met this chic we would hit it right off...there is something about her that is very genuine.

So I'm GLAD there are a few folks who appreciate her and thanks for posting some of her clips. i don't know how to do that, but it definately showcases her talent.

Price tag always makes me laugh. "It's not about the money, money, money... we don't need your money, money, money..." - and that's now available on iTunes, CD, eSingle, Spotify, and Amazon. Buy it now!

highfive No problem biggrin I fell in love with Jessie after watching a commercial of one of her live shows on MTV...except for her cover of TLC on the VMAs, I thought she was awesome. If you ever want to post videos from Youtube, you just have to do this: and then click the link and unlink it to post the video.

Yeah, I noticed the lack of love for her after searching through previous posts here. Sad considering that her voice is actually extremely good without the help of excessive studio equipment and auto-tuning unlike soo many of her more praised counterparts. lol I'm 30 and I've noticed that being tone deaf is never age specific considering that regardless of how much some individuals don't like the studio versions of her songs, her acoustic versions prove that she does have one hellava vocal range and great vocal control. Haters can hate, but this girl can sing.

My favorite songs from her album are 'Big White Room', 'Abracadabra', and 'Casualty of Love'. Anyone who can sing that on point with just a guitar and some finger snaps is a vocal talent to my ears but of course we live in the era of 'dance pop' or as I call it 'crappy disco/techno ripoffs'. Her studio album is very good but I'd rather her do a full acoustic album after seeing the above clips. I think she's quite adorable actually. I agree with you on the 'Domino' statement...not really feeling this song and I actually like Katy Perry (she's my guilty pleasure and i think she's just too cute and writes a pretty decent song mushy ). IMHO the UK is putting out the best vocalists right now. Jessie, Adele, and Pixie Lott are just music to my ears at the moment...loving them bunches. Just my twocents

Those have been my feelings on Lady Gaga since she started to be honest with you. lol I still don't get what the big deal is...not saying she's not talented because she is but I lived through the emergence of Madonna and Bjork, so don't get what's soo amazing about what she's doing as apposed to what they did years before her; but that's just me. To each his own as the saying goes. shrug

lol I actually hated 'Price Tag' when I first heard it...still not really a fan of it to be totally honest. 'Do It Like a Dude' just amuses me to no end. I get what she's trying to say with the message of the song and the way she delivers the lyrics is priceless. Girl power tune right there but that's just how I hear it. giggle Her album is fun but I would rather just hear an acoustic album from her because her voice is all I really care about. Keep all that studio sound, just give me her voice and a guitar and I'm good. cool

lol Marketing at its best right there. I really wish that she would donate that money to a worthy charity just to make the song's lyrics actually mean what they are saying; maybe that would make me like the song.

highfive Fergie had quite some vocals on her back in the day...sad they haven't withstood the test of time. When I first heard Jessie the first artist that popped into my head as a similar to her was P!nk on her debut album. mmmm P!nk mushy

It's interesting to hear who comes to mind. Neither of those ever came to mind for me listening to Jessie J. Wild Orchid Fergie had a much sultrier sound IMO. Pink is a whole other style from Jessie for me.

Oddly enough I find her closer to Patti vocally (sometimes)...especially in Big White Room when she makes those odd hiccup-y noises...I don't really know how else to describe them lol.

I find her a much better fit to cover "New Attitude" than "I Wanna Dance With Somebody".

She'd KILL those "ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh's".

I think she just has that P!nk vibe to her but just from P!nk's debut moreso. Now P!nk seems much more rock than her original RnB start IMO but I still love her. mushy

I'd love to hear Jessie cover this P!nk song:

Mmmm love me some Patti! If Jessie did some Patti covers that would be just amazing.

I'd love to hear her cover 'Someone Like You'
