Nothing to get sensitive about. Hell, he's a gutter trash and those type of comments are to be expected from him. It's not like he's someone important. I laugh at his stupidity and consider him on the same trash level as racist and homophobic rednecks.

It's no wonder Prince is such a cock when most of his fans are too. Like attracts like and all that.

Maybe that was a bit harsh... then again, no. If folk are offended by what I said then they're just being 'too sensitive'.

GTFOH!!

Are you people for real with this bullshit?

Just like all women don't get upset when someone refers to women as bitches

Just like all black people don't get mad over black jokes

Just like all fat people don't get mad at fat jokes,

All of the LGBT community did NOT get upset over Tracy Morgan's stupid assed comments and we are all not "too sensitive".

Keep your fucked up generalizations to yourself. Hell, all of you coming out of pocket. Just as Jesse Jackson is not the ambassador of black people, GLAAD does not speak for all of us.

Like Cloudy said, this thread is a reminder of the fucked up element on the Org.

Those gays need to go suck a.... Wait, nevermind. LMFAO!!!! They need to stop comparing themselves to black people. NO ONE IS BORN STRAIGHT OR GAY. BUT PEOPLE ARE FOR DAMN SURE BORN BLACK OR WHITE!!!!

So are you saying that at some point, a child makes a choice about his/her sexuality? At what age does this usually occur???

Everyone is different. I remember when I was in my first year of junior high, I wanted to play baseball as usual at lunchtime with my friends. They wanted to chase girls instead. But at some point sexuality kicks in. Could be early, could be late

Then some decide they like feet, animals, little kids or same sex..... Need anymore explanations?? Just let me know cool

Jesus H. breadbaking Christ. I mean, I get that T.I. is an ignorant dumbshit, but of all the fucking homophobic comments out there, some worse than others, he chooses THIS one to prove that gay people are too sensitive? The one about stabbing your son to death if he's gay? I wonder how T. I. would take it if some white comedian joked that he'd stab his girlfriend to death if he found out she was biracial, or would stab his daughter to death if she dated a black guy. (OK, I realize I could be giving him too much credit in thinking he'd find that offensive. His IQ does seem to be right up there with a stapler.)

Some people on this forum have clearly never met a single gay person in their entire life.

Anyone who makes a generalisation about an entire group of people is a complete moron.

I'd bet all I have that there are plenty more gay people who did not give the slightest fuck about whatever Tracy Morgan said than ones who got offended by it.

This dumb ass felon has some nerve...

http://www.accessatlanta....id=thbz_hm

T.I.'s publicists may find themselves working on a statement of apology after the Atlanta rapper told a popular hip-hop publication that gays need to get a sense of humor.

‘C'mon man, I think gay people are too sensitive," T.I. is quoted in the Dec. 6 issue of Vibe magazine. He was referring to last summer's controversy involving comedian Tracy Morgan, who unleashed a torrent of hateful remarks toward gays during a club appearance in Nashville. The "30 Rock" star said he would "stab his son to death if he said he was gay."

Morgan later apologized, saying the joke "went too far and was not funny in any context."

T.I. said many in the gay community don't respect the First Amendment when it comes to the views of their opponents. "That's not American," he said.

"They’re like, ‘If you have an opinion against us, we’re gonna shut you down,' " the Grammy-winning artist told Vibe. "If you’re gay you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you’re against it you should have the right to be against it in peace."

T.I., born Clifford Harris, was released from a halfway house in September following one year in custody for his arrest in September 2010 in Los Angeles on drug charges. He was sentenced to 11 months for violating terms of a previous supervised released after being convicted of federal firearms charges.

Harris remains under supervised release until Sept. 2012 and is required to participate in a drug/alcohol testing and treatment program.

Ok I don't know what the "in peace" part means because in the case of Tracy Morgan, he was doing stand up in front of a rather large audience. If T.I. is saying everyone has a right to their opinions and lifestyles then he's actually right. No one should, at least not as a general rule, be "shut down" or outcast because they say something that is unpopular or because they live a different life than the rest of the herd. T.I. has been the brunt of many a joke and foul comment, especially during his many rap beefs, and he's been in and out of prison so in a sense, he knows of what he speaks. If anyone should be feeling sensitive it's him. The man damn near lost everything and the critics are still on him waiting for him to fuck up so if he can weather the storm...well...more power to his ass. lol

Can't wait for that reality show to start. It will be weird seeing him in daddy mode and actually being responsible for a change.

Damage control

Few things are worse than being misunderstood, just ask T.I..

In the midst of the MC's recent media blitz, he appeared to have put his foot in his mouth during a VIBE interview by laughing at a Tracy Morgan joke about gays and remarking that people that are against homosexuality should be able to voice their opinion.

"They’re like,‘If you have an opinion against us, we’re gonna shut you down.’ ... That’s not American," T.I. told VIBE. "If you’re gay you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you’re against it you should have the right to be against it in peace."

Today, the King clarified his comments during a phone interview with TMZ.com.

"Did they get [my quote] wrong? I mean, not from what you said," T.I. said. "It's a lot of attention being cast upon such a small part of the interview, I was really just laughing out loud at a joke that I heard Tracy Morgan say. It just so happened to be in reference to gay people, like excuse my language but 'If you can take a blank then you can take a joke.' I thought that was funny. I believe that you have the right to do whatever you want to do as long as you're not hurting anyone else."

The Atlanta MC also noted that he did not describe gays as "un-American" but he was referring to specific actions.

"I was quoted correctly, but I was taken out of context," T.I. explained. "I'm not saying that being gay is being un-American. I was saying to use whatever power or authority [you have] to shut people down because they don't agree with you that's not what America was built upon. The institution allows us to speak out peacefully and respectfully in opposition of any point or any topic that comes up. I'm not against gay marriage but for the people who may have an opinion against it, for the corporations to throw their weight around to shut them down, that's not fair."

And Tip isn't limiting his statement to just alternative lifestyle groups, but his own ethnic group as well.

"It's about people who take themselves too seriously, any group. It's not just about gays, I think that African Americans may take things a tad too seriously too," He said. "If you use the "n" word like Don Imus and say something that's completely derogatory and disrespectful, [African American sensitivity is] understandable. But if you just have an opinion on something that just happens to be related to the African American culture and it's in opposition, then they have no right to shut you down either."

When I mention to her that one should not play with God, you either believe or you don't and you need to choose and get off the religion fence she gets irritated lol but she really gets mad when I tell her that a union between lisa and jane is nowhere in the bible, but adam and eve is. OK, but T.I. and everyone talking about the First Amendment here needs to stop being ignorant. The text of the First Amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech..." I put Congress in bold because I have NEVER heard any gay rights group or other group state that Congress should make laws that prohibit speech like Tracy Morgan's. Simply criticizing and denouncing Morgan's comments is in no way infringing on his freedom of speech -- in fact, it's exercising your freedom of speech. The First Amendment doesn't have a damn thing to do with it until somebody tries to pass laws against certain speech (with the exception of threats, of course, which aren't protected speech). If I boycott somebody who advertises on Don Imus's show or criticize Tracy Morgan, I'm not violating the First Amendment because I'm not the government. I'm not Congress, and I'm not trying to pass laws against freedom of speech. Neither is GLAAD or any other group that so many people are whining about.

(Now Europe is a different story -- a lot of countries there have much stricter laws regarding hate speech. In a lot of countries such as Germany, Austria, the Czeh Republic, etc denying the Holocaust or other genocides is illegal, and other forms of racist speech can be prosecuted.)

I like Wiki's explanation better:

Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws, with the exception of obscenity, defamation, incitement to riot, and fighting words,[1] as well as harassment, privileged communications, trade secrets, classified material, copyright, patents, military conduct, commercial speech such as advertising, and time, place and manner restrictions.

Criticism of the government and advocacy of unpopular ideas that people may find distasteful or against public policy, such as racism, sexism, and other hate speech are almost always permitted. There are exceptions to these general protections, including the Miller test for obscenity, child pornography laws, speech that incites imminent lawless action, and regulation of commercial speech such as advertising. Within these limited areas, other limitations on free speech balance rights to free speech and other rights, such as rights for authors and inventors over their works and discoveries (copyright and patent), protection from imminent or potential violence against particular persons (restrictions on fighting words), or the use of untruths to harm others (slander). Distinctions are often made between speech and other acts which may have symbolic significance.

In any case, people have a right to free speech and if someone says something you don't like you can either counter argue or ignore it. To try and take away someone's job or boycott them so they can't earn a living or sending death threats and all that bullshit over a damn magazine article or wack ass stand up comedic act is just a SCARE and INITIMIDATION tactic which is not cool.

T.I.Black People Can Be Oversensitive, Too

Gay people aren't the only ones who need to learn how to laugh at themselves -- T.I.tells TMZ Live ... the black community is also guilty of being overly sensitive when it comes to jokes.

T.I. called in, standing by what he said in the recent Vibe interview ... that gay people who try to stifle arguably homophobic jokes simply because they're offensive are "not American."

And T.I. insists ... the argument doesn't just apply to gay people -- it applies to anyone who can't take a joke, black people included.

http://www.tmz.com/2011/1...tUZyrJC881

The whole statement TI made was taken out of context. Like most interviews artist give they take one line and blow it out of proportion. Stop making this out to be a big deal. He makes a lot of since.LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

NOW ALL HIS HATERS CAN SHUT THE FUCK UP! falloff

wait...Don Imus used the N word? I thought he got shut down over calling a Rutgers female basketball team some nappy headed hos. Oh well...his ass needed to go.

TI MAKES A LOT OF SINCE. PEOPLE ARE JUST TRYING TO BRING HIM DOWN BECAUSE HE BEAT THE ODDS AGAINST HIM AGAIN. BUT WAIT TILL THEY SEE HIS REALITY SHOW. IT IS SO REAL. HE BREAKS THE MOLD OF ALL REALITY SHOWS AND TELLS THE TRUTH NO SCRIPTS.......

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

and The King of The South says,

"It's a lot of attention being cast upon such a small part of the interview, I was really just laughing out loud at a joke that I heard Tracy Morgan say. It just so happened to be in reference to gay people, like excuse my language but 'If you can take a dick then you can take a joke.' I thought that was funny. I believe that you have the right to do whatever you want to do as long as you're not hurting anyone else."
