The programming and editing sucked monkey balls! Truth. The show wasn't cohesive as it should be. The choppy editing just killed its flow.

So yeah, it was like a homeless man's version of better award shows. But it was good to see The Time/Original 7ven open the show when they finally cut to the stage where they were already beginning their set.

All young female singing acts should sit at the feet of Gladys Knight and take notes. Classic! Plus her hair was fly. Always good to see Bootsy alive and well!

Heavy D's tribute looks like it was better live in the Fox than what aired. Again, the editing sucked donkey balls. I mean, why have Doug E. Fresh introduce Curtis Blow only to have him profile on stage for a few seconds before the tribute's over?

Good to see talent smile but bad to see talent in the hands of crappy program directors mad

I watched a bit in between commercials of the Steelers-Chiefs game

sunday night. I will watch it on Tuesday. What the hell is going on

with Marsha Ambrosius voice live? She sounded awful last night. It was

worse than last year's tribute to Patti.

I don't know if its her vibrato or what. I wondered the same thing, because I've heard better from her. confused

Somebody tell Robin Thicke if he's going to do an Earth Wind and Fire tribute, he needs to learn the words to the damn song. Its "kissing and hugging", not "hugging and kissing", dufus. How are you gonna come on Soul Train and fuck up the words to Reasons? neutral Good thing Eric Benet was there to murder those high notes and bring up the end. Stokley is that dude! He pepped up the performance a bit.

Robert Randolph should be on these 100 best guitarists lists. Steel guitar is a guitar too (technically). CeeLo and Marsha Ambrisious did so many performances, I thought it was their show for a second there. Good thing they have the talent to carry it.

The Heavy D tribute was nice. I haven't seen Whodini and Kurtis Blow in years. Big Daddy Kane looks like Bobby Brown's older brother now. biggrin Gladys Knight looks great! I wonder why Tamar Braxton did the Gladys tribute instead of Toni?

And DAMN, Melissa DeSousa is HOT!

These new crop of youngbloods aren't carrying their weight live. I've seen Trey Songz suck on several occasions - good thing he wasn't on the roster. Lloyd was okay on the show (barely) but Miguel needs work.

Anybody catch that shot Just Blaze took at Amber Rose? "That's what you do?" lol

Football bores the hell out of me but I'd find it more interesting than that tired music awards show. lol

Did they even bother to mention anything about Teena Marie and Vesta or did they just decide to only acknowledge Heavy D?

i would have preferred EWF perfomance in full over miguels and lloyd was total MJ

i laughed at Mindless cause that is what it was MINDLESS with thier autotune asses. and then the teenage girls at the foot of the stage swooning DAMN lol

and the heavy d tribute was way too short tho i loved seeing real Mc's doing their thing

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

The difference in old school and new school was quite obvious last night. None of the youngsters could hold a candle to the old school folks.
