I love it. Glee does some pretty good covers. It's interesting to hear different takes on the same song.

They did a pretty good take on Gaga's "You and I" last week.

Yea they did. My all time favorites are Like A Prayer, Gold Digger, Poison, & Toxic though.

Glee doesn't really stand out. If they wanted to stand out, they should do their own shit, not cover everybody else's. lol

Some of y'all get really dramatic over things that aren't that serious. Maybe this was meant to be more funny and less serious. LOL anyway:)

It was just ok, made me really appreciate the original and want to listen to that instead of this. I agree with LazyCrockett that Glee was really good the first half of the first season. Unfortunately it got flushed down the toilet the 2nd season and as for this current season the show is swimming with the turds.

I think the ONLY profitable thing Glee has done is it has brought attention to the original singles past and present. It's helping out Adele. Their cover of "Rumour Has It" from 21 helped the original reach number 60 on the BB Hot 100 last week.

I'm not dumb, I just don't think for a show like that, that all they need to be focusing on is covers. lol I'm sure there's some glee clubs who did original songs every now and then, if not, then I'm mistaken. But don't call a brother dumb for assuming things. wink I get its purpose but come on now.

they have done a few originals in the show each season. x factor, the sing off, the voice and idol all do covers.

did you not read or do you just do like everyone else and just post with out reading comments?

as i posted on the previous page

ABC/Control/Man in the Mirror is a medley that is to be performed by New Directions for Sectionals in episode 8 of Season Three, Hold on to Sixteen.

The medley (the arrangement hasn't been confirmed) will go for 7 minutes.

Tina is singing lead to ABC, along with Mike and Kurt.

Artie and Blaine sing lead to Control, which Quinn sings the opening.

Finn, Puck, Sam and Blaine sing the leads during Man in the Mirror

it clearly says SECTIONALS for those that watch the show... its not a janet jackson episode ...its the half way point of the series

Hmm, "Hold On to Sixteen"... maybe I skipped that part. confused shrug

But anyways judging from the type of episodes they're doing is not really helping the show.

Like I give a shit...lol

They could easily do a Janet Jackson episode of Glee. So many of her songs fit the characters' situations. Free Xone, That's the Way Love Goes, Control, Lately, Nasty, Pleasure Principle, Let's Wait Awhile, Love Will Never Do (Without You), Come Back To Me, Again, I Get Lonely, Everytime, Someone To Call My Lover, I Want You...

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!biggrin It took them long enough! They are finally covering Janet! Now all my favorite artists have been covered (still waiting for Marvin though). I really do think back in season one they should have made Papa Don't Preach a medley with Let's Wait Awhile that would have good. The cover is not as good as it could be but I'm still glad they are covering her.

just to be clear this is an sectional episode (the half way point of the season) its not a janet episode.

Fantastic performance. The crowd enhanced the song tremendously here. The track, by itself however, never had incredible vocals. The Glee version eclipses it.
