There are only a handful of songs that fit that description on the "Chocolate Factory/Loveland" CD. It just maybe the best album he has done.

I think he has potential, but often his lyrics and seemingly narrow range just left him down.

However, when he is good, he is very good.

I'd like to hear him forget the popular market and just do a straight up organic soul album.

By the way, is the new album worth getting? I've got the last 3.

R Kelly is still popular because he brought out the dirty innuendo of blues music and set a trend with it. He's not poetic about it by any means. Any 13 year old can write lyrics like Bump N' Grind, You Remind Me of a Jeep, and Ignition. Johnny Taylor, RIP, could've written and sang the same songs. But the man does have a knack for production and he put those qualities into R&B in the early 90s.
