Nicki Minaj has confirmed that she will release her second album in 2012.

The hip hop star has taken to Twitter to confirm that she will release Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on February 14, writing:

"Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded will be released on Valentines Day, 2012. Heeeee's baaaacccckkkkk."

Minaj had hinted that she would be recording material as her gay male alter-ego Roman earlier this month.

The rapper, who introduced the persona on "Roman's Revenge", the opening track of Pink Friday, wrote it in a blog post: "Roman will be in rare form this time. You know why? Cause' he no longer gives a f**k."

Last month, Minaj admitted that she had contemplated suicide before her career took off and felt frustrated as she was unable to provide financial support for her mother.
