I thought it was common knowledge. lol Oddly they aired one (blurred) scene and in it when the guy asks her if she wanted more from him, her words were "MORE MORE MORE!" lol I think that was the inspiration for the producer who was working on the song.

Porn star turned disco singer Andrea True passed away on Nov. 7 at the age of 68.

Although True had several disco hits, including “N.Y. You Got Me Dancing” in 1977 and “What’s Your Name, What’s Your Number” in 1978, she is perhaps best known for her 1976 hit “More, More, More.”

“More, More, More,” which has been covered by Samantha Fox, Bananarama, Rachel Stevens and Dannii Minogue, peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1976. Andrea Marie Truden was born in Nashville, Tennessee.

I'm somehow always surprised to learn how old someone has become that was famous back in the day, as if they were supposed to stay the same age they were back in the 70's just because I hadn't heard from them since then. I remember when "More, More, More" used to play on the radio like a dozen times a day, right along with "Get Up And Boogie" and "Fly Robin Fly" by The Silver Convention. I LOVED the Andrea True Connection, and am sad to learn of her passing. May she be resting peacefully.

eek That's a little shocking. No matter your age, it just seems unlikely you wouldn't have heard this song a few times.

Respectfully, take it from one who has seen a LOT of 70's porn: That song sounds NOTHING like background music to a porn scene from that era. Too many lyrics, too danceable, and too many horns, drums, and strings. 70's porn music usually consisted of a solo, slow-rolling wah-wah guitar, and not much else.

The only thing about that song that even hints toward porn would be the line "...more, more, more", and it wouldn't have been sung against a driving disco beat, it would have been moaned, lol.

I loved the song More More More despite the sexual connotation. Its sad she died nearly two weeks ago and we're hearing about her death now. I remember VH1 had a program called one-hit wonders and she was interviewed When I listened to Len's Steal My Sunshine which sampled her song I always thought of

I remember this song. It was like the scene music to my youth. Always there, but you never really think about it.

I didn't know who sung it, or anything about her... but I always thought it was a pretty good song.

Andrea True Dies at 68; Porn Star Turned Disco Singer

November 25, 2011

Andrea True, a porn star turned pop singer who recorded a classic hit of the disco era, "More, More, More," died Nov. 7 at a hospital in Kingston, N.Y. She was 68.

The Gilpatric-VanVliet funeral home in Kingston announced her death but did not release a cause. She lived in Woodstock, N.Y.

Born Andrea Marie Truden on July 26, 1943, in Nashville, she moved to New York in 1968 to study acting.

She shortened her last name to "True" to spare her family embarrassment when she began appearing in pornographic films in the early 1970s, she told The Times in 1976.

"I had nothing better to do," True said in the interview, which carried the headline: "Porno's Loss Is Disco's Gain."

"I had been turned down by an agent for a record deal and I was tired of working as an extra in pictures," she said. "Some of my friends asked me to join them in a porno film. I figured I could learn about films and acting that way, so I did it."

But she recalled struggling with her choice: "For one thing, how do you go home and say, 'Mom, I'm in porno movies'?"

She made about 40 such films in the 1970s and became a star of the genre. In 1974, she appeared in six movies, including "Deep Throat Part II" and "Lady on the Couch."

Her music career began in 1975 when she filmed a commercial in Jamaica and was not allowed to leave the country with her earnings. She stayed and spent her money to finish a recording of "More, More, More," an instrument-heavy track credited to the Andrea True Connection.

Remixed and released in 1976, the record turned into "one of the iconic songs of the disco era," Rolling Stone magazine reported.

The sensual hit reached the No. 4 spot on the pop charts, according to the All Music Internet database.

The single has been widely licensed for use in movies and commercials and sampled in many songs, including the 1999 single "Steal My Sunshine" by Canadian alternative rock group Len.

She also had hits with such singles as "What's Your Name, What's Your Number?," "Party Line" and "N.Y. You Got Me Dancing."

Her first album, also called "More, More, More," was followed by another, "White Witch." The sophomore effort largely failed to match True's earlier success, and her recording career was essentially over.

Still, there would be no going back to porn.

"I would be a waitress or a typist before I'd star in another" adult film, True told The Times in 1976.

"Now I just want to record and perform. Don't look at me as a porno star anymore," she said. "Look at me as a recording star."

If you dislike dancing, meeting new & interesting people, and keeping up with what's current, exciting, and fun, then yes; you would have absolutely hated Disco music back then.

How about disliking it because a lot of it was trash. This song included. The song was Mafia crap.
