Eric Clapton- Wonderful Tonight

Not one of the mans best at all, but it's a sweet little jam wink

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

I think this was about George Harrison's 1st wife Patti. Also Sharon Osbourne said it was her favorite song.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Yeah, Patti Boyd mentions it in her autobiographical book Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me. Eric wrote it on September 7, 1976 for Patti while waiting for her to get ready for Paul McCartney's annual Buddy Holly party.

Man what a story! Patti also inspired layla, eric was obsessed with her & one of the reasons he started doing heroin was cause she wouldn't be with him. They eventuall got together after george become to involved in his religion & pretty much told eric she is yours. Then he had a baby with another woman while married to pati..... lord after all that trouble and he did that-_-

This guy who used to be my personal trainer told me that his parents LOVED this song. He said he knew they were getting ready to "get busy" when they put this one on. lol
