She looks sort of like Janet Jackson, and her singing is sort of 'off-key'...and that's what made her famous!

I like 'Baby, Baby, Baby' and 'Foolish'...wink

Because her record label "murder inc" wants her to be popular and some of the big wigs there are thugs and what they want, they get. She has very little talent. I have heard better singers on American Idol, but the thugs want her to be huge so they can make lots of $$ from her, so that's why she is everywhere right now. Of course, this is just my opinion, but I am entitled to it, so those of you who wish to flame me for my "thug" comments...don't bother.

Very true, but I don't know anyone personally over the age of thirteen who likes her.

I would like to point you to the CNN web site today that has yet another story about Murder Inc. and the thugs that work there. I do not consider someone's dress or haircut to be thug like, so please do not assume that's what I meant. There have been numerous stories about Murder Inc in the news the past several months. Perhaps you should visit some news sites once in a while.

Then don't let me assume what you mean and break it down 4 me. What do U think? "Let CNN alone 4 a minute here some of their news turn flase lata or according 2 what they see(which they maybe don't like or understand)".

Baby, "Thug" is a very strong word and you just can't throw it on everybody unless you KNOW what they're doing. 4get the lyrics,,,thats all frontin' and bullshit.

Harlepolis, I listen to hip hop music quite often and I do not think someone is a thug based in their lyrics or what they wear, but I have read so much over the past few months about Murder Inc. and I believe that some, not all, but some of the employees there are very shady characters.

I don't want you to feel that I'm being bitchy or sumthing smile. I just wanted to know why exactly you call them "thugs" but since you broke it down 4 me,, then I understand now.

Sometimes trying to communicate in this type of forum can cause misunderstandings. Usually I am trying to do things too quickly and I sometimes do not explain myself as clearly as I should.

It's all good!

There's not much to tell. I haven't heard much about her lately. All the attention she got last year was because her debut album did so well in its first week out. And that's mostly because it was deeply discounted.

I think people will lose interest in her whenever her second album comes out. You'll see how horrible she is when she performs on the Grammys.

Alos, I think that the only reasons this girl is popular are that she is attractive and likes to be half-naked in her videos. When will talent win out?

Irv Gotti has been talking about this film for almost 2 years.I can't stand the thought of this but it's gonna happen with all the Black FLicks from the 70's so it seems.Sad but true.

Essence - I don't see anywhere here where I said a word about hearing a DJ say "thug", so shut the fuck up and read things before you comment. Also, just because I use the word thug, does not mean that I am referring to black people. Thugs come in all colors and I am not oblivious to this.
