I don't like this remix. I wasn't aware af it until the 1990's when I bought some slow jams compilation. I had the album (Gap IV) when it first came out and that was the only one I knew. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. ^^Yeah, that's the album version. The 12" versions of other tracks from the same album are good though like Early In The Morning & You Dropped A Bomb On Me. My friend told me he had never heard the original version of Outstanding either (until I played it for him a few years ago) and only knew the remix. I was the opposite.
