Classic Of The Day IV

Marvin Gaye's Sexual Healing.

From the drum machine intro... to the heavy synth bass, it was his 80's masterpiece and his only Grammy winner. confused

This was Marvin's answer to folks who thought he was all but washed up.

"Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, let's make love tonight... Get up, Get up, Get up, Get up, 'cause you do it right..."

This takes me back to my senior year in high school... all us kids were gettin' freaky to this one.

God bless you, Marvin. CD music tombstone cry pray

glad He won Grammys but I'm a Bit tired of this Song.in fact I Hardly listen to it.still Love the Video though.the Nurse was Super-Thick YES LAWD!!!I rather hear "Sanctfied Lady" More than "Sexual healing" though on a whole or His 'Star Spangled banner take from 83 than SH overall over time.

I think this is the most soulless song Marvin ever wrote, and his worst single. It sounds contrived to me.

I love this song, and it's one of Marvin's best songs.

BUT,I am so sick of hearing it! This song gets played a little too much. For once,I wish radio staions would play something like "You Sure Love To Ball" (1973),a superior Marvin Gaye song that never got the exposure it deserved.Or how about "Come Live With Me Angel"(1976)?

If I never hear "Sexual Healing" in the next two years or so,that would be fine with me.Like The Isley Brother's "Between The Sheets" or Heatwave's "Always And Forever",the song is badly overexposed.
