Ain't Nobody (Remix)? Never heard of this one. "Ain't Nobody" is one of my favorite songs from Chaka, I hope they didn't screw it up neutral

One of my biggest entertainment tease on T.V. was when Prince, Stevie, Yolanda Adams, and....(oops, Rick Perry moment) were paying tribute to C.K. and started off with the intro of "Ain't Nobody" and then went into another song. I was soooo disappointed. I would have loved for them to AT LEAST do the first verse and chorus. The rest of the tribute was fine of course, I was just hyped to hear what one of my favorites from her would sound like from those great artists collaborating.

Oh, I think it was India Arie wink

"Lover's Touch" actually made it's CD debut a couple of years ago on one of the compilation "Soul Togetherness" CDs by Expansion Records.

The two Chaka B-Sides that continue to ellude a CD release are "Only Once" (B-Side from "We Can Work It Out") and "Everybody Needs Some Love" (B-Side from "Baby Me").

This is from the UK ain't it? They have mad love for Chaka. Doesn't she split time between London and L.A. anyway? smile

I know she used to. It seems like she's been spending a lot more time over here for the past several years. It's been a while since I heard her mention living in Europe. With the recent additions to her family and some of the drama that's been going on within, I think that may be forcing her to spend more time over here.

I agree! She mentioned having homes in London and Germany (I forgot the city, I think it was Frankfurt). But yeah family problems may have added to why she's staying put in the U.S., least for the time being.

Chaka is one of my favorite singers.

She's definitely not overrated in my opinion. She can back hers up.

Oh, I'm pretty sure that she's the real deal. And I agree that Chaka can sing,

but I think the only reason why Chaka is so lauded here (because she is not

lauded anywhere else, I bet) is because Nelson likes her.

I'd take Patti, who has a more distinctive voice (hence, I understand her popularity)

over Chaka any day of the week.

But one of the best female singers of this lifetime? You go too far, sir. She's not even

one of the best female singers of her lifetime. For example, I can think one female

singer who surpasses Chaka's talents and abilities and is a helluva slide guitarist to

boot:

Bonnie Raitt

Bonnie Raitt and Patti LaBelle are talented ladies, but I would still choose Chaka over both of them.

What do you mean Chaka is lauded here only because Prince likes her? nuts I've been a fan of hers since the 70s......long before she worked with Prince!

I love Chaka's stuff, & Chaka when she was with Rufus. Prince has nothing to do with it.
