Lenny Kravitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers tank. What's up!

Two major artists, two huge crashes. Their albums dive off the charts. Lenny really went down fast. So much for trying to find inspiration from being alone on an island.

This goes to show that being on a major label is no longer a good thing. Best for you musicians out there to just promote your own shit and tour like crazy...lol

The albums sold well in the 1st week, and the Chili peppers had a top 40 hit. Consedering the type of music huge nowaday's. I think that is good enough lol i was not expecting either to sell like they where doing in 1998

Compared to what's "hip" now, they did decently.

Its too bad cause TRHCP latest was a pretty decent CD - I really liked a number of songs on it

As for Lenny...well it was good while it lasted wink

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

nod It's the year for her. I say "let her". Lenny & Red Hot were once hot stuff back then. It's just progress. Of course lots of shit changed but still.

Exactly, Adele is great & this is her year for sure. To me the guys still sold decent as Timmy & i said because of what is hot now. The fact there albums got in the top 20 is awesome. And i was shocked Rain dance Maggie went to 32!

Lenny had little promotion besides his facebook & twitter. So i feel he did ok to, just ten years ago RHC riding the great Californication success & Soon to be By The Way, Lenny was riding the 5 success, The HUGE single Again & the Lenny album which had Dig In as a pretty big single. And ten years before that they where selling & making hits to!

The guys had there time, and they don't need anymore hit albums or singles, just need to keep rocking for there fans razz

It's all my fault lol I loved the two from what I heard and planned to pick them up, but didn't. The Chilli Peppers especially came back well.

Lenny went to Top 3 in several other countries where, you know, CDs still sell.

The better wording is "other countries love him more than we do".

It's really a shame. I'm a Lenny FAN and I wasn't excited about this new CD as the last 2 were so dull, but after actually giving it a listen it's probably his best album since '5'.

They're both touring successfully right now anyway so I guess that's their priority.

I really liked it too when going through the first spin though I haven't bought it yet, I also haven't felt that since 5, which is great!

I don't know how many people feel the way that I do about the Chili Peppers, but when John left the band again, I lost interest.

that's the thing right here..it seems the chilli peppers can't do anything without john but i like their latest and the same goes 4 lenny.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Yes. RHCP and Lenny have moved into elder artist status where your audience is more into seeing you perform your hit songs live instead of any new studio album that may have been released--like Prince, the Rolling Stones, etc.

Yep. Even if it's a hard thing to accept, it's actually a GREAT THING they've been ascended to that rank. They'll always shine no matter how well their new albums do.

No offence but that's really hysterical coming from a madonna fan falloff

They're a billion times better and more interesting than she ever was

They actually have talent and are capable of making music

After hearing Van Hunt's magnum opus, Lenny Kravitz oughta be ashamed of himself.

And both bands haven't been interesting or really musically relevant since 1996.
