I'm speaking about entertainers in the same respect as Janet Jackson hence why I named Madonna, Rihanna, Britney Spears and Beyonce. The type of entertainers that need pyrotechnics and a bunch of back-up dancers to put on a show. I'm not talking about entertainers that play instruments and hardly move around on stage.

As much as I like Janet... I have to agree with this. I dont know why she stopped with the costumes. Its SOOOO tacky, unprofessional. She did it at first because her costumes were on another plane and flew in later at one of the shows and for some reason she has decided to keep doing it... I dunno... I personally dont like it... Its a SHOW... not a rehearsal and costumes is apart of a show and like you said from her past tours people are expecting that. If not a stadium AT LEAST have costume changes...

And this is what an earlier poster meant about you changing the goal posts. First Janet's own damn brother isn't a valid comparison according to you, and now Prince and Chaka Khan aren't, either? WTF? And even if nobody else does that, WHO CARES? If Janet were doing the same thing as everyone else people would be pissing and moaning about that, too.

Also, if you knew anything about this tour you'd know that there AREN'T pyrotechnics or a bunch of back-up dancers. Just because that's what she's done in the past doesn't mean it's what she has to do on and on until infinity and beyond. Also, since I've actually seen Janet's show (which I'm guessing you haven't) I actually know what I'm talking about when I say her lack of costume changes didn't at all affect how much fun my friends and I (or anyone, it seemed) had at the show. In fact, when I've paid good money to see a concert, I prefer to see more of THE PERSON I PAID TO SEE as opposed to sitting around waiting for 1 million costume changes. If you have your frilly little list of demands, that's fine for you, but don't expect everyone to have the same expectations.

I often believe George Michael and Janet have put out good concert tours, they just chose the wrong venues: George's should've been more intimate and Janet's should've been arenas/stadiums... JMHO.

As for costume changes, I could give a fuck...
