confuse What's the big deal on her wearing the same outfit throughout the whole performance? I thought changing clothes/costumes was only an "added extra" and not a necessity. After all, we are there to see the artist perform right? Anywho, as long as she didn't piss on herself for all the audience to see (like Fergie did) then it shouldn't matter.

With Janet or anyone similiar, it's damn if they do, damn if they don't.

Well it always happens that depending on HOW far an artist is going, and what the plan is for the show, to cut down showtime they will bring less to certain gigs, especially those far away for them.

I can tell u for a fact that taking a tour to Aussie is freaking expensive, its literally the end of the world to get there. on a-ha's final tour they played every inch of the world, from NYC to Poland to Canada to Chicago to South AMerica etc..but Australia was the one place they didnt go, citing tour costs to get there as one of the main problems and other venue issues and what they would compensate for. Artists tend to strip shows down too depending on the venue, Mariah did her infamous 75 minute set with two openers on the MIMI in Upstate NY, and yes she even cut down on the changes.

But like it was said are U going to see the person or their outfits? if thats the case wait till they walk the runway to see them

Real talk. Lots of today's performers disguise pop/rock shows as fashion runways anyway.

yeah and in cases it is their own fault, whether its Diana Ross back in the day, or Mariah changing into smaller outfits every song, or Elton John wearing a donald duck outfit, i think they all get to a point where they want to put away the fashion or at least tone it down, i mean elton wears suits now as opposed to sparkling outfits, and so i think Janet might want to simplify, Mariah on the other hand i cant see doing this, for some reason on her next tour i see her wanting to show more.

It becomes a necessity when the risk of sweat being shown through the clothes is high.

Who's idea was that anyways at the Hawaii show? I'm pretty sure it was hers and she might have talked about how fans would ask her how she changes so quickly, but it was so long ago. But she also ran through a field topless in the clip aired before the Hawaii

Respectully, you haven't been to many concerts if that's what you think. Most don't change costumes.

Well Janet sings about her vagina sweat, so I don't see how this is so out of line.

What do they mean that J is out of shape? Didn't someone just post on her recently some fashionable pics she took for a magazine in another country? (I think it was Vogue) She looked pretty amazing in the pics.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

When I saw Diana Ross last month, she managed to do four costume changes, sang the hell out of every song, and danced and swayed to the music. The lady is about 67.

What's Janet excuse? Love pretty much all of Janet's albums, but don't know why anyone would bother to see her on tour.

If Janet had walked out on stage and proceeded to read poetry, without musical accompaniment, I'd say you've been misled. And it turns out, from what I've heard, it seems she performed a bunch of well known songs of hers... razz

it's weird because looking at the pictures, she is looking out of shape. when i saw her in chicago recently, her body was looking as tight as can be in outfits that would otherwise be very unforgiving. if anything u would think janet would be in BETTER shape as the tour goes on. her appearance then was one of the highlights of a somewhat disappointing show. she was looking fantastic. i wonder what happened.

I'm going to assume you've been to ZERO concerts to make that generalization. Entertainers do change their costumes very often. Madonna, Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney, etc. ALL have costume changes. Do you think I'm referring to the drummer and guitarist? I'm clearly talking about the entertainer (aka the main attraction). Nobody pays good money to see these entertainers mime in a pair of jeans and black tee. lol
