This is definately one her BEST songs.
That clip of the RN tour....I loved that whole look in that era. "A Man Can't Ride Your Back Unless It's Bent" MLK 4/3/68

Janet always says one thing about an album and then does something else, so I don't really go by that anymore until the final product is in my hands 20 Y.O. was nothing like I expected though it's ok, just a few tracks sort of had what it was being promoted to have....and JD saved his best shit for Mariah on Mimi, JMO, though Enjoy, Take Care and Get It Out Me are some of her best. Discipline is a really strong album despite not being written by her, I was really feeling it except for one song and the bonus track.
I've always loved how genuine Janet is in her music, but I haven't really heard it for many years now. Maybe it's too painful for her, but along with the dance tracks, another album with honest feelings like on the Velvet Rope or Rhythm Nation would be great, and I love edgy Janet and miss that from her. After Damita Jo, she said she wants to make an album and include anger and racism on it, and I know she has a lot of emotions too and hope she has a lot of creative freedom to do what she wants. I also like how she doesn't rush albums and puts out a good product in the end, MJ gave her the best advice on that.
I also love that RN clip you posted, my favourite clip from that tour is the Pleasure Principle one. [Edited 11/2/11 9:55am]

Oh and God bless those black Guess jeans too!
It's funny seeing the old footage of the RN Tour and her current Number Ones Tour. It's like her career has been full circle.

They should. They were written around the same time frame. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Still upset she didn't release it. The song made number 5 on the Hot 100 airplay chart, easily a top ten hit and also a video for this would be so good...

I always felt that this song might have made Michael decide to write a song in the same kinda vein... which he did a couple of years later with "Why U Wanna Trip On Me". It's a classic Janet track and a classic Jam & Lewis production. One of the best songs on RN, and that's no easy feat! |

Love this one. I certainly got a lot of airplay in my area back in '91. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Great song. Haven't listened to this album in years. Need to revisit. Don't laugh at my funk

This song got hardly any air play here in the North East Texas area. I remember hearing the remix during a mix show while in Dallas for the weekend.
