His wackiness is so utterly genius, there's just one Tom Waits. He's a musical style all on his own.

These thoughts are brought on by his latest release; "Bad As Me". It's so loose it's tight. Not many artists can pull off albums I like immediately. This is one of them. Up in the top five of 2011.

I am totally immersed in his stuff again. I am playing "Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards" like crazy. Talking about genius.

I don't think he can sing

Everything I'm hearing about this new album is leading me to believe I'm gonna love it. I won't listen to any previews though. I want it to be fresh when I sit down with it.

I don't know if anyone's seen the film about the Enron collapse, but Tom songs are played at the beginning and the end and both are extremely appropriate. The film opens with majestic shots of Enron's giant skyscraper with "What's He Building In There?" playing on the soundtrack.
