1) I LOVE her!
2) I'm not even going to go there with the absolute snub she receives here in the US
3) That Welcome to My Love clip....confession....I hate when she prolongs the song with the vocal acrobats, however I quickly got over it when the guy on the bass kicked that whole groove into funk mode. You clearly can tell this woman enjoys her gift.
4)There is a clip of her at the Apollo singing "With Open Arms"...My absolute #1 song of hers and it's a complete sin how she delivers that baby on that show....I would smacked the shit out of somebody if I was there.
5) Did you ever notice that no one EVER tries to cover her songs....well I haven't seen any. I hope it stays that way too.

1) Ditto. A musical jewel.
...If you've got anything inside, you can't help but react to her gift. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

That woman is absolutely phenominal! I LOVE her something serious!!!
That Apollo perfomance was great but I can honestly say that I've been blessed enough to have SEEN her do it better!
I saw Rachelle Ferrell, Will Downing, Jonathan Butler and Gerald Albright at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, and when she sang "Open Arms"...oh my sweet Lord!!!
She held that note and walked from the left end of the stage, all the way to the right end and then all the way back to the left end again, on a single breath!
When I tell you she brought the mf'ing house the down, I mean I literally thought the ceiling was about to cave in from the roar of that ENTIRE audience, on their feet, applauling and screaming.
I've worked at the Fox Theatre and I've personally seen many, many great shows there and to this very day, I've STILL never experienced anything like that night.
Don't even get me started on the faces that she makes! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I was all prepared to be at this very show...
I will not miss her the next time she's in L.A. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

TheAudience...
Thank you for posting that Apollo Clip.....it's just no words for that.....the whistle note
I have never seen her live but I can just imagine...I know personally I could not contain myself in the audience...hence which is why I purposely get aisle seats.....Yes I cut the fool, and proud of it.
Her voice gives me chills, like Patti. I saw Chrisette Michele as the opening act for Maxwell and there was way more appreciation for her voice live than her cd's.....She has great vocal control that is sooooo missing off of her songs.
That Rahsaan clip...OMG...I would have killed to be there...Lalah and Rochelle....come on now, that it almost too much for a sista to handle in one night.
I always think what would her and Luther would have sounded like today? Will Downing, of course voice is pure silk and goes so well with Rachelle....it gives me goosbumps just typing that shit. However when someone has mastered their voice to this level, you just cannot sit back and NOT go bat shit crazy when hearing it.
OH...And yeah lets discuss the facial expressions I find my self making them when I watch clips of her perform!!! As if I could EVER get out one freaking note that sounds like hers...but making the faces will have to do. "A Man Can't Ride Your Back Unless It's Bent" MLK 4/3/68
