Anybody able to identify this 80s Funk track? i wonder if anyone here know's who this track is by? i asked the person who uploaded it, but they turned out to be some weird cunt who said it was some sort of secret and they couldn't tell me for some fucking unknown reason. what a sad wanker they are.
if anyone knows, feel free to tell me. there's also another track which sounds like its from the same group or artist.

With that 82-85 dance based synth sound , it sounds like any hired gun studio musicians put together to make an album. With nobody singing behind the tracks, who can tell who they are, I'd say Kool & The Gang but really don't know. Jeux Sans Frontiers

Sorry, not a clue - but your thread did remind me to do something I've been meaning to do for ages: search for services that can identify music (purely out of curiosity really).
I also tried Audiotag and it suggests the following for the first sample:
But for the second sample it just says Sorry, our database doesn't have anything matching your file. Cannot identify.
I did a search for "music identification online" and I haven't yet checked out all of the results. I'm ignoring any that require software to be downloaded and any that are based on waiting for other people to listen to and recognise it, but I'm sure there's at least a few more similar services that upload and analyse on the fly. If I find anything else worth trying I'll post.

I Just listened to the samples of Freeez -I.o.u on Amazon and it could well be the same song, it's certainly very similar, but I can't tell for definite. Your ears are probably younger and less deaf than mine, so maybe you'll be able to tell definitively. [Edited 10/30/11 11:29am] Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. Sounds tight and also "Instrumental #1." Maybe you could identify it with Shazam. I don't have it installed yet but here's the site: Shazam
Shazam is a commercial mobile phone based music identification service, with its headquarters in London, England.
