Swizz Beatz: Worst Hip Hop Producer Ever??

I'd say so. biggrin

We could talk about the greats all day [J Dilla, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Flying Lotus, RZA etc...]

But how the hell has this guy become so big off of the very little talent he has? He has a few classics [don't get me wrong], but damn, the guy's production is almost laughable imho....

Who else would you consider a horrible hip hop producer [or producer in general]....Lex Luger, Diddy?

Soulja Boy is far worse.

Remember, Soulja started off as his own producer AND beatmaker. And his debut track Crank That (Soulja Boy) is THE definite example of shit-hop & rhythmless bullshit (r&b).

He pictures me as a flighty person, when it comes to women, but that's my opinion.

I was going to comment about him and the lawsuit From Casio in 1999 about stealing beats from their equipment and claiming it as his own but with the help of search engines and comprehension, I found out that this was a rumor. There's noting really distinct about his style, Timbaland had a sound you recognize as did J Dilla, with the exception of Ruff Ryders Anthem there's nothing I like of his sound.

Co-mutha-funkin'-sign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude has 0 skillz.

Yet he somehow managed to sell a bunch of ringtones.

So class, what have we learned today?

You don't have to have talent to sell music.

What does that mean?

Charts don't equal talent.

Class dismissed.

I don't believe Puffy has ever truly produced any songs.... lol

I've heard far too many stories about him getting credit for some of the dumbest stuff....

I noticed he did a lot of sampling. How much creativity can you gain from that? It worked, though.

It's about how you sample, not if you sample lol

Puffy had a bunch of other producers doing the work that he got credit for...the way he "sampled" was pretty much the laziest form of sampling. That's why it's so hard to respect imho...

He don't deserve respect. lol In fact he hardly produced Mary's most famous albums. lol

Swizz is wack as fuck, minus a few joints here and there.

Dilla is so overrated as well. Championing his shit is an often used tactic to gain credibility within hiphop circles on the internet.

You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

Funny you say that because I'm from Detroit & I've been a fan '98 ...[nearly met him too]

It's funny some clowns don't know how dope his flipping skill were, or where how so many other producer use drums he made, sampled & used first... lol

True, it's how you sample, and to my understanding, sampling is economical and live musicians are costly. That's why producers do this nowadays.

But, all of the producers that are doing it these days are rich.
