Paul McCartney on The Family

The fDeluxe site mentions that The Family's album had such admirers as Paul McCartney. I can find nothing on this. Is there a quote someone can provide to back this up? I don't disbelieve it; I just never heard it before.

I think Robert Plant was another fan mentioned.

I SO want proof of this as well. Although, I have never heard it said that Paul is a P fan

Maybe Paul told the group themselves or maybe he went to one of their shows. Paul doesn't have to put out a press release about what he listens to. smile

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I read once that Paul McCartney worked with Clare Fischer as a result of liking his work on an unspecified Prince album. Perhaps that album was The Family.

He's the guy on piano.
