Usher has created a new genre for his new album: "Revolutionary Pop"

He's creating a new genre? Well he needs to get in line behind Beyonce first. Before "4" came out, it was reported that she was working on creating a new genre as well. Both of them need to have a seat if you ask me.

Usher is talented but the most iconic guy in the music industry today? What are these magazine editors smoking? I will say that I loved "8701" and liked "Confessions", but his last album was shit. He was trying too hard to latch onto that pop/electro trend. Yeah so much for creating a new genre, but we'll see what happens with the new album.

From a diamond certificate album to a new music genre: the story of the artist that for us is the most iconic guy in the music industry

If to the words dancer, singer, talent scout and producer you add the trademark “iconic”, you’ll find him: Usher. The big name of American R&B, whose talent has been certified diamond in 2004 with the album Confessions (20 million copies sold), he is and has always been, in fact, the “good boy” of charts besides also being an undisputed style icon.

And while today there are still those that are waiting for Mr. Entertainer (a nickname that somehow recalls eau de Cologne and Sinatra) to drop his mask, he has shown himself, day after day, for what he truly is: a gentleman 2.0. Usher's creativity and art can be strongly seen and heard in the creation of Raimond v Raimond – released in 2010 – that, exploiting the lessons learnt from Woodsworth on the recollection of feelings in tranquility, got everyone’s consent.

Sure, Usher is not only an elegant and slightly rebel good guy, as seen in the photo shoots for L'Uomo Vogue in January 2011 and March 2005, shot by Stephen Klein (as you can see in the gallery): his universe is also made of great entrepreneurial successes. And it’s not like his good guy side can’t get along with his role as a mentor, on the contrary. And as a demonstration of it there will be the Christmas song, which will be aired as a preview on October 24th, that sees the (spiritual) father Usher and the son (in label) Bieber together in a collaboration quite full of “aww”s.

And for the immediate future? Voices say that something more than a "new album" is in the works: Mr. Entertainer has been developing new songs that will create a new music genre, one he has coined as "revolutionary pop". That should teach something to people that are still holding thier breath, waiting for him to make a faux pas. Take some advice, catch your breath and get comfortable because it seems you will have to wait a very long time.

Confessions - Details about what led to the break-up with Chilli.

Here I Stand - I'm a grown man now. I'm married with children. No time for the bull.

Raymond vs Raymond - Oh snap. I'm divorced. I should have listened to my fam all along.

What's his plan for the new era? There's usually a plan.

Beyonce, too, made promises in the press to invent a new genre of music on her then-unreleased project 4. It sounded like the same old, same old to my ears.

I know right, homegirl says she invented a new type of music than comes out with an album straight out of the 90s. falloff

Usher seriously needs to STFU and release that sex tape.

As said before me, this sorta hyping is not new. Some artists do this, some music producers have done this too. I remember Rodney Jerkins saying some bullshit about "changing the world of music as we know it" before Michael Jacksons "Invincible" dropped LOL.

There was a rumor about one with his ex-wife, I would hope for a man on man one but it would most likely be with the Biebs so... I'm not gonna hold my breath for that.

Usher.. as much as i love 8701. All his song ideas many aren't his lol

He's another beat jacker, jacking beats from euro dance songs, 8701 had Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Jermaine Dupri, The Neptunes, Babyface. And a crap load of other producers lol

I remember people thinking confessions the song was written about something Usher did, it was about stuff Dupri's life lol

He is just a damn tool.
