Hip Hop/R&B was somethin ELSE back in 96/97! Hard Core, Ill Na Na, Supa Dupa Fly, all of the Bad Boy Stuff (MA$E, 112, Total, Biggie)...those were the days. Spend A Little Doe and Drugs were my favorites from Hard Core. But you can't forget about Big Momma Thing, either biggrin

Cool thanks! I wonder if Biggie was ever credited with writing her stuff or would that contradict the image they had for her at the time. To this day, she claims she always wrote every verse...

I think he had a hand in a couple tunes, but looking at her credentials on BMI composer list she wrote at least 90% of her tunes. Can't argue with publishing royalites.

idk, if she did write her own stuff, she definitely copped his entire style towards rhyming. Anyway much love to Kim. She had some dope hip hop records in her prime! cool

Yeah she got enough singles to fill a greatest hit disc, plus some of her unreleased cuts are top notch.

Reading her lyrics, I think BIG inspired her rapping style but everything else was written by Kim herself. BIG actually did a demo of one of the songs on the album ("Queen Bitch") to give Kim guidance to rap in the style he was rapping in.
