How George Michael made me depressed....

I really like GM, his music, his voice, but yesterday's concert was a real let down. His voice was great, but he only performed ballads and covers. We left before the concert was over.

I knew it wasn't going to be a high tech dance show, but after every number, i felt more and more depressed. I don't wanna pay 80 (!) euro's to see George Michael doing covers and songs I don't even know ("This song was written by someone who is gay"..well, isn't that great?)

This would be a nice show in a club for 100 people....not for a crowd of 10.000 people. neutral

rolleyes sorry if you hated the show, but hey, to each his own

many fans are enjoying this tour full time, knowing that it is a ballads/covers/symphonic tour

you sound as if you dind't have a clue about the true nature of this tour or the covers he's playing, which is puzzling considering that we live in the era of digital information. You should have checked out some youtube clips first, like everybody, man

and his voice is good, perhaps not great, but certainly GOOD

and sorry but: "We left before the concert was over" = rolleyes that was silly and rushed, not only because GM is one of the top vocalists of our times, but also because the ticket was not cheap to begin with, was it?

too much drama...

you should be thankfull that you have an artist like george michael who switches it up so that he doesnt go performing the samething over and over again./...wasnt it just a few years ago when he went on tour and performed all his classics..i am sure he wanted to change it up and perform his favorite covers ..e.tc

I would kill if my favs Janet and Michael did a tour covering their favorite artist material on tour..but sadly it will never happen..

even janet who is on tour..its the same thing over and over and over again .

george is one of a kind..you may not have enjoyed it ..but im sure thousands do/did

If Madonna did a covers tour I would be front and center. If you're really a huge GM fan I can't imagine it being a dissapointment.

what songs were covered?

LOL! I was after the concert!

No, it's wasn't all that bad, but i'm just frustrated. 1,5 hours of slow songs is just too much for me.

I'm honest, I really felt down at one point.

I also saw him yesterday, but I knew the setlist, and i knew what he was going to do. I really think it was a very good concert. I don't know when u left, but the last 30 minutes were the best. He said ''come on everybody'' and everyone suddenly came out their seats and they all walked to the stage(including me) lol And after that he did a little more up tempo and classics, such as Freedom, I'm Your Man & Amazing.

Nevermind I completely understand now. Besides Amy and New Order I would have slept through it all.

I can't stand TTD'Arby's.

Oh honey! How can I make it up to you?

For the record I think TTDArby's songs have translated into greats covers, I think his production has always been a turnoff to me.

I think he has some good choices in the setlist, but I don't really see a show stopper.

It's ok i still dig your crazy ass biggrin

Well... to be fair. GM his remake of true faith the auto tune version was eek the live version is ok. I think he should do some bluesy songs like on his songs from the last century album.

Kind of how i wish Madonna would cover some rock songs drool3

George has the chops to do covers and standards.

As much as I love Madge...the very thought...Yikes!

Madonna live is about the full package (dance and spectacle), not about the vocals, so if she did a covers show, I'd hope they'd be tongue in cheek and chosen appropriately to fit her fortes. pray
