My roommate knows my hate for Beyonce, so I think he purposely says asinine statements like this just to piss me off ( and it works).

"Beyonce is a better singer than Whitney Houston and a better dancer than Janet Jackson."

He also said this:

"Trey Songz is a better singer than Otis Redding and Same Cooke."

It's a shame he really thinks this, it downright ignorant. Beyonce voice is so plain and boring, she can't hold a candle to Whitney, and all the does on stage is shake her ass. I'm not a Janet fan, but I've seen her perform live, and it's fantastic. And Trey Songz can't deliver a decent live performance to save his Life.

I could could go on and on about other things that he's said, but you get the point.

She was probably high off of cheap corn whiskey when she said that. Them old ladies better leave that shit alone.

This notion going around ever since about the end of 2002-2003 that Britney's career is over. I've witnessed her haters, both on the street and in blogs/internet postings try to push this idea for years. Like she would have a hit but at the time somebody will simultanteously write "Britney will never hava hit again." LMAO. It's quite fascinating. Say she isn't your favorite, say what you think she's lacking musically, that's all opinion. But don't try to minimize her impact. It justs make you look stupid.

I just can't believe that people still use the term "black music." I hate that. Especially when people think that "black music" begins and ends with rap and R&B.

He could be right on that one. Whitney may have have had a better natural instrument but didn't really seem to know how to use it beyond her repetative flourishes. [My favorite Whitney performance was the MJ tribute. She came out like Bette Midler performing drunk in Germany and went after that shit. That was hot.]
