If I am correct, there is one track on doggystyle with some guy yelling (rasta style) Blam Blam, Blam to them all.... : I forgot the name, but I loved that track. I faintly recall all this music. I also loved some track or album by eazy E, something with a sniper. ..

Yes, my friends who bought all this moved on to more serious stuff, KRS one, De la soul, tribe called quest, early BIG albums, and a whole lot more I cant recall. Though some of it was nice, I was dissapointed. I liked this hardcore west coast rap with synths. PUMP PUMP

I think why a lot of people love the albums were because it had funk influences (and didn't hide it) and was way more accessible than some East Coast hip-hop records at the time. That's the credit I do give Dre is he made gangsta rap a lexicon of pop music at the time.

I did not like it that much). I was a fan of Prince, but did not know he worked with him. Only later did we discover Clinton's own work

I knew who Clinton was prior to his appearance in "California Love" (I actually didn't know it was him until he took his glasses off after discovering his "hoes" were taken out by Pac and Dre ) but I can see how that re-introduced people to Clinton. Though EPMD were the first to sample Clinton, Dre, Cube and 'em were really responsible for RE-introducing Clinton, Roger and a lot of the '70s and '80s funk legends.

That had me laughing when I first watch it at 9. At the time I didn't quite understand the dissing until much later. But it's still a classic regardless. RIP to Eazy E though.

Yeah, on Cube's Behind the Music, he said they met in New York and talked for a while. He said that was the last time he saw him, 'cause he didn't see him in the hospital and he didn't go to his funeral.
He wanted his last image of Eazy to be of him walking away in NYC. Not him in a hospital bed hooked up to machines or laying dead in a coffin.
I read somewhere that Dre, Eazy, Cube AND Ren were talking of doing a reunited record on one of their records, possibly Eazy's or Cube's but Eazy got sick before that could come true.
