BRITNEY SPEARS - IN THE ZONE

HANDS DOWN HER BEST ALBUM, and still one of the best pop albums of the 00s

great single/collaboration/opening track with Madonna (Me vs the Music), another great single (Toxic), her best ballad (Everytime), an underrated gem (Outrageous), and several Kylie-inspired strong album tracks (Early Mornin', Breath On Me) etc.

and a great pre-shit/hop-shit/dance production, state of the art 2003 pop

hell, this album was a HUGE improvement over the forgettable bubblegum of the 99-02 years...

I think In The Zone is a decent album, but to me it just doesn't compare to Blackout.

BULLSHIT wink

that was basically a decent shit-dance/shit-hop Danja album with two killer single but endless filler

FEMME FATALE is CLEARLY better than Blackout...

It's funny cuz I consider Femme Fatale (and circus) to be just as filler filled as her first release.

Circus is clearly HER WORST album hands down (unless you can't stand the pure teen vibe of her debut) but FM surprised me, there are only two tracks on that album that I can't stand, the other 10 tracks are just pure pop gold...

Personally I was dissapointed non of the tracks on FF were nearly as forward thinking as Hold It Against Me. Yes the lyrics to that song are beyond dumb, but it's such a jam! I think it's one of her finest moments. The rest of the album just feels like filler in comparison to me.

On the other hand Blackout is Britney's most consistent and strong album. There isn't a track on it that I skip.

eek

Till the World Ends, Criminal, I Wanna Go, BigFat Bass, Trouble For Me, How I Roll, Seal It With a Kiss...killer melodies (it sounds like an 80s dance pop album with a 2010-11 GaGa production) and huge choruses...

Blackout is full of rhythmless 07-08 bullshit and uncatchy choruses (mostly)

Were not gonna agree on this at all!

To me, Big Fat Bass is the most annoying thing she's ever recorded, Till The World Ends is catchy but boring, How I roll and I wanna go are both decent. The rest were instantly forgettable for me.

Blackout isn't very catchy, but it's so anti-formulaic and risky compared to anything she had ever done and it really worked IMHO.

Femme Fatale is her WORST album to date, followed by Circus.

Blackout > In the Zone > Britney

Blackout may be the best I have to say. But all of them are albums I have to nitpick out the good singles and album tracks cuz they don't work as a whole imo. Blackout was the closest..especially with Why Should I Be Sad ending it off.

Her best album tracks imo... Hot As Ice, Blur, Don't Go Knockin On My Door, Anticipating, Boom Boom, Touch Of My Hand, WSIBS, Lace and Leather.

Yessss. Both before and after. It's amazing how fans come up with better material than these so called professionals. It's not amazing it's embarassing.

Same here. Kinda liked her from the Britney album singles but In The Zone was actually an album I could listen to start to finish. I also liked The Onyx Hotel show too. She's not been the same since though. My friend saw her in Manchester a few weeks ago and said she looked like she just didn't want to be there and couldn't be bothered performing. They left the show early. Shame.

Oh Britney is a robot now. Anybody that remembers 1999-2004 charisma, stage presence, and performances knows what I'm talking about. It's sad cuz I know I'll never get it again but I treasure it forever.

She even used to do backflips and shit. I was looking at this last night.

I LOVE Shadow and Everytime, it's just too bad she's not a better vocalist. Other favourites are Outrageous, Touch of My Hand and Breathe On Me.
