Shit, there's a lot of newer "artists" not worth a damn that I would like to see retire even before Rolling Stones, Janet, or Madonna. There's a reason those acts stand the test of time. Since I was dissing her earlier, Jessie J has no business in this business and I really hope she fizzles out fast enough. They usually do. Why should anyone retire? There are plenty of artists I don't like or think aren't that good anymore, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't agree and like them. I think you should keep on performing as long as you have a passion for it and love what you do. It seems sort of ageist to me. But if you don't enjoy what you do anymore but are going through the motions for the money or because you think that's what people expect you to do, then maybe you should retire. But Like Madonna sings, "Don't Ever Tell Me to Stop!" | |
