Amy Winehouse's former boyfriend Reg Traviss has revealed he has turned down an offer of over £1 million to pen a book about his time with the late singer.

The film producer has said that he will be putting together a tribute film about the singer, but that a book is out of the question.

A source told the Daily Star: "Reg has had loads of offers to write a book about his life with Amy but he says it would be just too painful. He also wants to keep as many of his memories with Amy completely private. He’s making a film in memory of her but he won’t start working on that for a while because it’s all still too raw."

Amy Winehouse's father Mitch announced last week that he has signed a deal with Harper Collins to publish a memoir about his daughter. The book will be titled Amy, My Daughter and is set to published in the summer of 2012. Mitch has pleged to give all the profit from the book to the newly set up Amy Winehouse Foundation.

Winehouse's ex husband Blake Fielder-Civil is also reportedly planning to publish a "tell-all" memoir about his life with the singer, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 27.
