I don't wanna watch that show. I wanna keep my memories of Theo the way they are. I can't imagine Theo in the position Malcolm's playing his character on the show. |

Speaking of BET (going to change the subject for a min.), have any of you seen the new sitcom with Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Tracee Ellis Ross called "Reed Between the Lines"? I took a chance and watched last week and it's sooooooooo not funny. I want to like it, lawd knows I do because it seems like someone had a great concept but the show is in desperate need of new writers. Right now it just seems like a "Cosby Show" for the 21 century.
I didn't watch it but I guess they trying to put something "postive" on the channel . Malcolm said it is supposed to be like the cosby show .. many comments online were negative. I don't think that show will last long.
Yeah i think they are trying to go the "positive" route as well, but they have to have quality writers for a show as well as developing a "quality" concept for a show. Its a shame because I think the show could have potential, its just that its not funny and the subjects/topics they visit aren't out of the ordinary of all other shows many of us have seen before. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

Well...aside from him being extremely great to look at (his muscles nearly bust out of his shirts ), I just think that whoever is writing the script are gearing it for Theo to act like Bill Huxtable when his character should have a more original personality and not recycled.
And Tracee Ellis Ross's character is annoying when she does these impersonations. [Edited 10/18/11 19:04pm] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

Maybe he will become enlightened by his jail time and then turn it around when he gets out, stars in a "serious" role in a movie, and releases a "deep" record afterwards.
And then of course he converts to Islam. |

It is changing. He's been a non factor since "Crank That" and before anyone goes "he had hits", it's easy to have a "hit", but how many are gonna remember that when one of the "hits" overshadows it? |

I know that he was responsible for one of the most annoying songs of the decade, but I feel kinda bad for him. It's a long drop from the top. Is he gonna be one of those supposed child stars that just continue to keep themselves in and out of jail?
Though, once you are of a certain public stature...wouldn't it be more beneficial to get a firearm license?! Unless they do and they are still getting arrested for concealing it? I don't know. Like, I just don't get why it's almost a prerequisite for many rappers to get arrested at least once in their career. I think it's just stupid. Is there something in the culture I am just missing? Like, I just don't fucking get it. |
