The Moments (aka Ray Goodman & Brown) Damn. I was listening 2 The Moments greatest hits collaged tape my mom's ex boyfriend made 4 her a long time ago, in the shower..

I just saw them in concert last week,and they put on a great performance.To my surprise,they performed their early hit "Not On The Outside".They also did "Look At Me,I'm In Love","Special Lady" and of course "Love On A Two-Way Street".
But my favorite song by The Moments is "Lovely Way She Loves",a minor hit single from 1969. | |

Their hit "Sexy Mama"...is the bomb. They sound just like Marvin on that number. Great group of brothers that can sing rings around the basic crop of "vocalists" now-a-days. | |

The Moments were founded by Sylvia Robinson... yes the same Sylvia Robinson who founded the sugarhill gang and Sugarhill records... she signed the Moments exclusively to her "All Platinum/Stang" Label of which they were on for many many years..and then in 1981 The Moments did a cut on SugarHill records called "Baby let's rap now" of which is hard to get... the cuts that stand out for me are
